Oh To Be Three

This little monkey..oh wait, she reminded us that her name was not "monkey"..it's Addison Rae...turned three this weekend. She came over on Sunday and had some cake, icecream and presents...she's a fun little kiddo and is so smart and growing up fast. She knows that she's the apple of her Daddy's eye, that we love her to pieces, that a book is more fun than TV, and she insists that Squeak the cat is a boy...and she's the only one who calls Squeak..Squeaker Days...don't know where that came from, but that's her story and she's sticking to it!

She was excited with YaYa's attempt at a super chocolate cake...
Slowly the candles were blown out and quickly the cake and homemade chocolate icecream were eaten...that girl is a true Starkey...chocolate is her fav!
Addy spied some of my Halloween decorations here and there. Like this tiny teapot and cup with a tiny witch on the top...she just had to look at it and try it out.
We had to take just a little time for some special "tea"..aka, chocolate milk..notice her chocolate cake mouth and crazy hair!
Yep, it's super great to be Three! Happy Birthday Addy!

Three year olds are one of my favorites! I taught them in Pre-school and had a ball! Your little Starkey is adorable....

What a fun time you must have had. I loved when the triplets were three. They had so many antics we never laughed so much. Esp when they turned on each other.

Enjoy Addison as much as possible. Before you know it she will be in elem school and all grown up.
We hope to go see our grandchildren, at least the four youngest ones, before the end of the month.
Blessings, Yaya.

Yaya..I have a little Great Granddaughter that is just three and what an age they are. Busy, busy, busy. I have the entire corner of the living room set up with play dishes and dollies for her. However she seldom stays there for more than a moment..then she heads for the yard and the big red wagon and huge container of toys.
I bought her the cutest little lady bug tent...even has a floor and windows. I LOVE them at that age..well..all ages really.
She is adorable. Yep..Emily has the same "crazy" hair! :)

Isn't it awful that we have all gotten into the habit of calling all daring little children cute little monkies? I think it is great that Addy corrected you. I'm going to try to watch that in the future.

Your chocolate layer cake was such a great creation! I stopped making layer cakes years ago, although I have to admit I do a lot of 10X13 cakes. I am too lazy anymore to want to frost a layer cake.

It's hard to believe that Addy thinks books are more fun than T.V. What a great child she is and so smart for three years old!

What a cutie patootie - every family should have at least one three year old in their life, and yours looks like a keeper no matter what her age! And you can make my birthday cake anytime ...

I want some of that cake too! I have to get one of those ice cream machines...
I hope she has many more Yaya and Papa birthday parties. That looked like a lot of fun!

Wow! Didn't she grow up in a hurry??!? Yes, She's a Starkey girl for sure with the love of chocolate!! The pic with the little tea cup reminds me of Chels when she was that age.

Have fun in NY!!
