She's Such A Kidder

Mother Nature that is. The last 4 days have been lovely...not warm, but sunny and by the afternoon the temps have been in the 40's. A heat wave! Yesterday I headed up the hill toward the Creepy Woods for a nice walk. I stopped to catch my breath at the top of the hill and had to click a pic of the bright sunny day. Ahhhh....
The woods is full of dead fall..trees, like this one, that have cracked and fallen. This beauty was huge! The rest of it is ginormous and I think Jack is sharpening his chainsaw and heading up ASAP!
Coming out of the creepy woods, I took in the beauty of the green grass..the sun starting to get lower in the sky...I believed the weatherman when he said we would be getting only a little rain. Liar.
When I finally got out of work today I was hit in the face by this...SNOW..AGAIN!!!..GO AWAY!!!
Oh goodie...look what I get to brush off.
I was feeling sorry for myself when I was brushing all this white stuff off my car..that is until I heard that my brother who lives in Wisconsin..northern Wisconsin, had temps of 11de. below zero and today they got 16in. of this stuff. So when you're feeling bad..just look around and remember that there's always someone worse off...unless they live in Florida.

I knew I should have stowed away in my partner teachers car. They are in Savannah, Georgia. Luckies!

I'm so sick of this weather but our daughter Jill also lives in WI near Milwaukee and their weather is so much worse than ours so I hate to complain. The kiddies love all the sledding and snow sports.
Enjoyed the pics.
Thanks for sharing.

You remind me of my mood on the first day of spring, and I was stranded in snow on Storm King Mountain. Then I remembered people who are suffering in Japan. You are so right about looking around us.

Surely it should be over soon?? We can't decide what to do in my neck of the woods. Yesterday it was in the low 60's. Today? 84. Don't be a hater.

What a total contrast! I can't even conceive of such a huge weather difference. My own hands began to turn blue just watching your poor bare little hands having to brush off all that snow! I also can't conceive of actually needing to carry such a handy little brush, to do such a job, in the event of such a complete change!

It doesn't snow where I live...on the surrounding high lying mountains, sometimes, yes, when it's really cold, but it's not the norm.

We had a little snow recently, not much. And rain that we need. Sorry you're still in the frigid zone. But spring WILL come--yeah, sure.

Such gorgeous pictures! And oh bugger those weather people eh, they just are awful.. hehe. It's so hard to be a weather girl at this time of year, its awfully bipolar these days eh! Sending you sunshine-y vibes from the weather office in Canada x

Wow. That snow just keeps on coming. Your pictures show some fierce looking weather. I remember waking up to our car like this in Austria. We Aussies had not a clue what the procedure was when your car is covered in snow. The concierge had to show us. When he stopped laughing.
