Oh No Moment

No pix today...just a big "Oh No!"....In my previous post I paid homage to my Mom's hands...and today she used those hands to clean up her deck after a storm blew through last night.  Then she fell and broke both her wrists!  Luckily nothing else was broken.  She's in the hospital tonight and tomorrow will have plates and screws put in to make it all better.  Only now she wonders how she will do her daily tasks with both arms in splints.  Well, she will have plenty of help. My sweet Sister lives with Mom and her daughter is a nurse and after reading my previous posts you see Mom has many who love her and will take good care of her.  So I'm sending out a request for some prayers for a speedy recovery.  Mom, this is for you..seriously, if you didn't want to do any yard work this summer all you had to do was tell us!

Oh my word, dear YaYa! This is horrible! How unfortunate to have such an accident happen right after you focused on your mother's caring and capable hands. That's exactly the kind of ironic curve ball life tends to throw at us, isn't it? Yes, indeed, my prayers are with your mother for a speedy and complete recovery from this mishap. Please keep us posted and let us know how she's doing.

:-( I'm s sorry to hear this!!...BOTH WRISTS!!! WOW!...It's gonna be a challenge, but with lots of love and patience, she'll be fine!...It'll probably be tougher on her than on those trying to give her care though. I've been on the receiving end of being taken care of. There truly is more happiness in "Giving" than in receiving! :-]

Oh Yaya, ouch, ouch... that is no fun... I'm so sorry that this has happened to your beloved mom. I hope that she will heal fast. Talk about coincidence about this happening just after you were praising her hand and the hard work and the nurturing they did for her family.

I'm sending some prayers for fast healing. In the meantime, she will have to let herself be pampered. At least she is mobile and can walk. I'm glad that she didn't broke a hip. It could have been worst I think.

Sending hugs and prayers,
JB

Oh No! She must have really fallen hard to break both wrists. Well, it could have been worse and luckily she has a fantastic support team but that really SUCKS!

Your poor Mum. It does seem an awfully drastic way of getting out of chores. Sending lots of healing thoughts her way.

Oh, bless her heart. I am so very sorry to hear this and praying for quick healing for your Mom and giving thanks that she is surrounded by so many other helpful hands. Our son broke both his arms at the same time and it was better (easier) after he had casts put on them. So many problems that presents for a person, but your Mom sounds like a very plucky one.

So sorry to hear about your mom.
Now she will learn how to receive help. Hard for us to have help when we are used to doing our own chores.
This will be new for her. But she's blessed to have you and the family she has who will give her what she needs. Give her hugs from me. Barb
