What I Did On My Easter Vacation

We boarded our plane on Wednesday and bid farewell to Cleveland....
And Chicago..
Took a flying leap over the mountains! Whenever I've flown over the plains and mountains and find myself on the other end of our beautiful country, I always think of the pioneers who took months to make this trip. They put up with cold, heat , starvation and all kinds of trials. We just had to put up with the security lines and squished seating to get across the terrain in 4hrs! A miracle. We should be so grateful to live in our day.
We visited many beautiful spots in Portland, Oregon..or as my 4yr old Granddaughter says: "I live in Oregon, Portland". This is Multinomah Falls.  So amazing!
It was a beautiful day to hike up to that bridge!
And the view from up there was very cool too!
But this is the reason for our visit...My son Craig, his wife Amy and my Grandkiddos: Sophie (on Amy's lap), Taylor, and Katie. We had alot of fun and I have so many pics to share. I will have to do a few posts to get some more in. For now, I'm happy to be home, but we miss you guys!
Jack, Craig, and Taylor.
My handsome hubby and me!

Hi, YaYa! I'm glad you've arrived home safely and had great weather to make your trek to these scenic vistas and take pictures for us. Those falls are spectacular and everybody needs to click and enlarge and study them for a while to appreciate their beauty. I love seeing the sweet, happy faces of your grandkiddos and so happy that you were able to wing it out to them for Easter. I eagerly await the next batch of pictures from Oregon, Portland, dear friend!

Oh, I'm so excited for you. Getting to spend time with your wonderful family AND in such a gorgeous location. Great pictures and your family is beautiful. Love that pic of them all together. The grandkids look so happy. Can't wait to see more.

I am always amazed at the thought of what pioneers endured, too. So grateful for all the conveniences we take for granted.

Lucky you that the sky was clear to take those ariel picture of Cleveland and those mountains. It gives a new perspective on how lucky we are with the convenience of flying long distances so easily, even though I hate flying.

What lovely pictures of your family and of the falls and you and hubby.

I'm glad that you had a great time on your Easter vacations.
Hugs,
JB

glad you had such a great trip. I can't wait to see more pictures, Oregon is a beautiful state. Our favourite place is on the Columbia River called Hood River. We go most every year for a few days of r&r. Hope you had a lovely Easter. Now take a deep breath and get ready for life to start anew!

How wonderful that you got in a visit to Craig's family. Those grandkids are looking so grown up! I hope they are all doing well in their new home. The falls look spectacular; awesome addition to the visit. I thought for sure we'd get pictures of a Pines egg hunt, but I guess we did get a lovely hunt from there last week. :)
