Wishes

I remember when I was little and making wishes on dandelion seeds was a great way to ask for the impossible. You just thought of what you wanted, picked the flower and blew the seeds everywhere! I could probably take care of all the dandelions in my yard with all the wishes I would send off into the air today.  Wishes for my family who need them.  Good health wishes for many who are hurting. Prosperity wishes for those hit by this economy. Wishes for good weather and no tornadoes to ruin a beautiful Spring. Wishes to be gathered with family and friends to celebrate and enjoy a good meal and share memories. Wishes that the sweet innocence of my Grandkiddos like little Cameron would hang on a bit longer. So take some time and make a wish...remember what it was like when you were little and had no doubt it would come true. You just never know, the seeds of those dandelions can travel forever on a good windy Spring day! Hope all your dreams and wishes come true! Thanks Cameron for stopping by to see me today. My wish would have been that you could have stayed longer!

Lovely post. We should all spend more time wishing for good things for others. I wish we loved closer so I could visit the creepy woods. (Always fascinated by that, and a little scared of it Lol)

Aww...I love this thought. If I could wish for one thing it would be to shoulder my children's burdens and instill my wisdom in them so they wouldn't have to hurt sometimes! Humility and patience are hard virtues to learn...

This is such a heart warming post. You have captured the true feelings of how we used to feel as little kids. May we keep the spirit of little girls and boys inside of us all our lives. When I come to the letter "W" can I post a link to this blog entry of yours? I would like a lot more people to read and appreciate this one.

Hi Kathy, thanks for your good advice. My back is feeling lot better. I have a bit of arthritis that gives me problem once in a while and I over did it outdoors yesterday cleaning out a large flower bed. The pain is not a crippling pain but more of a nagging low back pain.

That little guy is just too cute with his pursed lips wishing for great things. I remember the daisies also that we used to pluck the petals and say, he loves me, he loves me not.... having a certain young guy in mind when we were young... full of dreamy hopes.

I love all your wishes. May they all come true.

Sweet little boy... I remember doing just that when I was little. I loved blowing dandelion seeds everywhere. I'd pretend they were fairies.

I have always loved wishing on dandelions, but my husband has put the kabosh on it. He doesn't like those new weeds in his grass.

Sometimes he is just no fun!

Love, love, love this post! I spent hours doing this as a child, and Cameron is such a cutie. But I've got to agree with Sue's husband on the weed propagation issues. Hopefully yours drifted out to the street. :)

I am so far away from all my little Greats and of course all the Grands are grown, some beginning families of their own. I am watching my own children become Grandparents.. exactly like blowing on that little dandylion that Cameron has in his little hand. Some seeds are still flying through the air..and I wish them well and am proud of all of them.

Hi honey
What a dear you are to write such a lovely post for all of us to enjoy.
Made me wish for those days when I would take the time to lay in the grass and make wishes instead of always mowing it now. hahaha
Seriously beautiful wishes you have for everyone. I appreciate you so much
Love

I love those pictures of that darling little Cameron.....children are just so innocent at that age. I too have many many wishes, not only for my family and friends but for our country. I am so concerned about what is happening here in the U.S. I can only pray that somehow, someone, some way will find a way to turn things around.

This is a beautiful post, YaYa! Our dandelions aren't up yet (at least that I've noticed!) but I remember well making those wishes. Sweet photos of your darling grandson make us all think of our wishes for a brighter future for the little ones.
