Favorite Time Of Year

So many of us love Fall.  Perhaps saying goodbye to Summer sun and fun is hard, but the gift of this time of year always makes me smile.  The air is crisp and cool right now.  We've had a bit of a warm start to October, but these past few days have been perfect.
Cool mornings with the sun coming up over our trees.
I visited the cemetery today and I wish my photo truly captured the beauty of this tree
The Dogwood tree off our deck is in full bloom of red berries.
We joined these guys over the weekend to watch this guy play football:
Hey #70..(Anthony) congrats on winning your game 22-0!
Following an Amish buggy down my country road is an all year experience, but for some reason it's just more fun in the Fall! Yep, I do enjoy my favorite time of year!

This is my favorite time of year too. I can work outside and not get all sweaty and tired because of the heat.

Yea for the little guy for winning the game.
Hugs,
JB

I can tell you're enjoying your fall weather up there in Ohio, Ashland, dear YaYa! It's uncanny how much that first picture reminds me of my childhood in York. My family had an above ground pool like yours in the middle of our large back yard. When viewed from the patio a line of trees at the end of the property was visible in the background.

I would say your photo did a great job of conveying the beauty of that tree at the cemetery. We also had a Dogwood tree in our yard and it exploded with colorful berries just like yours. We also had a number of large evergreens like the ones I see in that picture.

Big #70, Anthony, looks like he is built perfectly for football. No wonder his team crushed the opposition.

I also lived in Lancaster County, PA for a dozen years and Amish buggies were a familiar sight. As the old joke goes up in those parts, you need to go through Intercourse to get to Paradise! :)

Thank you very much for sharing your autumn bliss, dear friend YaYa. Have a wonderful Friday and a super weekend!

What a cute football player!! I love summer the best, but fall does kinda grow on me after a few weeks. Your pictures are lovely.

I love that tree! Our trees haven't turned properly yet but it has been cold the last few days - Autumn is here as well.

You live close to Amish country? I didn't know.

Love how Autumn feels like the final act of a play, when all the actors are brought in for a final curtain call, and the audience savors the story they told, the scenery they inhabited...

Such Fall beauty where you live. Love the photos! It's still green and quite lush here (thanks to last weekends rain), but our nights are cooler so things will be changing soon. Yes, I do hate to see another Summer go, but trying to embrace each season.

I love this time of year, too and can never decide between spring and fall. But you are so blessed to have the beauty there of all those rich, warm colors and we just don't here in Texas. Beautiful pics. The football boy looks like a winner. They really outdid themselves.

It is the perfect time of year to watch football and drive behind an Amish buggy. It is so easy to see why so many of us love this time of year.

My favorite too.

I love Fall. It used to be on time and in full effect, now not all of the trees are changing colors at the same time, that makes it a little less exciting but it is still pretty.

Love that you see Amish buggies, I just got in from a pony cart ride around the cranberry bogs myself.

That pic of Anthony from the rear looks so much like Phil when he played! Did you hit any of the fall craft shows this weekend? The Brookside West one was good.
