Something Nice

To say we had a beautiful weekend would be an understatement.  It was..gasp..sunny..and...gasp...warm!  The nicest of the two days was Sunday.  I didn't check the thermometer but I'm guessing 70 would be the magic number.  So I hung outside and walked around the yard with the dog.  Got a teensy bit of a sunburn even.  The phenom was Squeak the cat.  Usually this is how you will find her once the temps drop or the rain falls:
Curled up in her "spot".  But she knows when the weather changes. She wants out!
Hello.
Perhaps this is my better side?
Couldn't resist snooping at the Kindle could you...Remember what curiosity did to the cat!  Anyway, as the sun sunk in the West, Jack's thoughts turned to a little fire in the fire pit.
Help me...I'm sinking!
Burn, baby, burn! Sitting around the fire and talking was nice and also noticing little things around us...Like this:
X marks the spot right above us.  I try not to think about planes doing this..flying over or under each other.  I'm heading out in one in a few weeks....oh, I just got a chill.....
The trees to the South:
Just looked interesting and ended a weekend that was something nice for a change. Warm, sunny, quiet, and restful. (Even with the time change!)

we were warm and sunny but not as warm as you and we still have a fair amount of snow on the ground.
But we sure enjoyed it.

You had an outdoor fire!
What a neat thing to do, warm up, cuddle up, and watch the stars. I can't wait for our weather to get up to the normal summer 60's just to sit outdoors and watch the great Milky Ways most nights when fog is far away.

Awww Squeak is so cute. I have had (still have 1) two grey and white kitties through the years. There's just something about them. Their white just seems fluffier than any other.

Not to worry about those planes. They wouldn't be anywhere near the same altitude and probably passed that spot minutes apart. I'll even bet my son (an air traffic controller) would confirm that. ;)

Lovely pics, Yaya. I love the colour of the sky in the last two.

Squeak is just like us, wanting to get outside the first nice day. It was a nice weekend here too but more like 50 than 70. Our lawns are still snow covered though

We've had a nice three days with Saturday and Sunday being warm and sunny and today was warm but overcast and the snow is melting here in Ottawa.

I'm jealous that you have grass on the ground and can sit outdoor by the fire pit.

Squeak is just so cute. I bet he won't like the rain though.

I hope that yo'll have a great week.

It was too nice to stay in that is for sure. I sure wish we had a good fire pit spot. I would have loved doing that last night.

Ah, how nice! We went for a walk Sunday and tried to pretend it was 70, but it was only 40. We were still excited, though :).

Sounds like a super time. It doesn't matter which side you take Squeak from she's gorgeous. She has such great ears.

I remember living in Chicago and how happy we would be when those first warm days arrived.

Glad you had such a great weekend!

Our weekend was nice too but not as warm. We have rain again today.
My brother the Navy Chief is always proud of airshows. I tell him that I am scared for the pilots but nope, he thinks that we should not live in fear.
Have a safe flight, whenever and wherever to:)

It sounds like your temps were higher than ours. I know you are glad to be having warmer days and no snow. We had to do an out of town trip south for a funeral, so we were in the car most of the day Sunday. Saw lots of wild flowers coming out, but no blue bonnets yet.

Don't know how you did it, but the fire pic is really cool.

Sounds like you had a very peaceful weekend. I loved the pictures, especially the ones of the trees and blue sky. I think we're gonna be in the seventies this weekend, which is a good thing. Hubs has a triathlon.

When I talked to all of the kids today, they were all in various stages of thawing out. To say they're excited for Spring would be an understatement! I hope you enjoy your trip - you'll have a lot of fun and I'll be right behind you taking mine!
