Another Word For Sunshine

The sun did shine today!  The temps were in the mid 40's and I might be so bold to say it was maybe 50de.!  It was super nice. Even the crocus decided to open.  I have to enjoy them quickly..snow is in the forecast for tomorrow and next week....but I'm going to focus on the crocus for now!
So what's another word for sunshine? Well, it has to be these two little monkeys who came and stayed the afternoon with us.
We ate a quick lunch and then hiked up to the Creepy Woods.
Addy found her stick and her hiking groove.
Lexi took the high road!
We came back and played around in the yard...well, we actually cleaned up the doggy doo-doo but I made it a game by seeing who could find the most....Hey, they liked it...and the yard is all tidy now! Then Addy put on  her thinking cap and we decided chalk drawing was a good idea.
Her sister got up close and personal with her drawings! Good job Lexi Loo!
Bubble blowing is always a favorite too. After spending as much time as we could in the sun we headed indoors to make some Easter egg cookies.
Lexi got the hang of the cake decorator to add more frosting yumminess.
They took these to their other Grandmother's house.  Gina was keeping them overnight since my Son and his wife were at a wedding out of town.  It was a fun afternoon.
Eddy was exhausted!
Me? I just loved the sun on my face and the real sunshine of two sweet Grandkiddos for the day!

Oh you are a clever one. Making a "game" out of doo doo clean up. I tip my hat to you grandma.

Give me time and I will get to know all of your lovely family members and pets, dear yaya. Until then please be patient. It's funny but your "warm" daytime high matches the "cold" overnight low we had a couple mornings ago. It won't be long before you have the best weather in the U.S.A. and I'm envying you. Believe me, the Florida heat and humidity are just as hard to bear as the Ohio winter cold... and equally relentless. I hope you're having a great weekend, dear friend!

These pictures made me smile. Also, your comments on both our (JIlda and my) blogs have lifted our spirits in a difficult time. Thank you.
I hope we can get up that way and meet you and the fam one day soon.

It looks like a perfect way to spend a sunny day. Your grands are just adorable and they did a good job with those cookies and the sidewalk art. And aren't you a sneaky grandma.. putting them on poop patrol!

What a delightful post. Really brings a smile to one's face and reminds me when my two little girls were just that, little girls. Now they're both long since married and gone but no grandchildren. (Slight sigh but don't let them hear it!)

You making a game out of cleaning up dog doo...and you call me 'Sparky'!! LOL...Anyway! Enjoy the sunshine! It's unfortunately not gonna last in our neck of the woods either it seems! :-( Where is the foreign thing we call 'SPRING" anyway?!!

Great fun with the little sunshine we have had. Snow on it's way.
Any day with the granddaughters is a good day.

Hi Yaya, You win top prize for being such a wonderful grandma. I love that the girls help with the yard cleanup and I love the chalk painting. Just beautiful grandkids. The Easter cookies looks so yummy and the crocuses are a reassuring sign that spring is around. We are still under a big snow blanket here in Ottawa.

Hugs,
JB

Priceless!! Time spent with grandbabies is the very best! Those girls are growing like weeds and they are adorable!! A hike to the Creepy Woods sounds like great fun-- and I'd be all about the cookies- of course!!

You are making some great memories with hikes in the Creepy Woods, doggy doo and cookies!!! Those are very cute girls you have and you are a good YaYa.
Glad you got to see some sunshine and a few flowers to remind you spring really will be here soon. It turned off cold and windy here, too. I'm thinking that just because the calendar says its Spring, Mother Nature comes when she gets good and ready.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Haven't got to the grand-kids stage yet but my partner, Lea has a 6 year old and I teach 7 year olds so I'm lucky to be around young children. They are most refreshing. Looks like your grandchildren had a lot of fun. What a neat game to get the yard sorted out.

We had the same kinda weekend...babysittng! Yours looks more clever though...cleaning up the yard was NOT on our agenda...lol!!
The cookies look very artsy! That's where we match...we did art here too.
