Apple Love
This weekend the weather was rainy and very cool. That's why the pie got made. I went to the apple orchard and grabbed some baking and eating apples. I was so excited to be there I forgot to take a picture of the orchard and barn where all the goodies lived. So the pie will have to be my testament to apple love! Then I started to put some fall color inside the house. After I was done I dug these out. OK, so maybe it's a bit early to be planning Halloween. But the time is now for some pumpkin love!
I made these many, many moons ago. Very long ago. So long ago I can't even remember when it was. But I have a soft spot for these little guys. I guess because I don't create many things and I have to not only get excited by what gets put together, I tend to keep it for eternity. My kids will have to dispose of them when I'm gone. Hopefully many, many moons from now.
Fall wreaths are showing up
I do love a pretty pumpkin!
I know it's a few weeks away yet, but go get ready and greet this Autumn season will 'ya!

Oh my heavenly pie!!! Again, your blog always makes me hungry! I put up our Fall decorations, too. It was only in the upper 70s here today, so I'm thinking it's coming, but it will probably be, like, 90 again next week. Fall really is coming...I just have to keep telling myself that.
I want a piece of your apple pie. My mouth is salivating.
This is a reminder to go pick some apples to dehydrate for the winter. I wonder if the U-Pick are open yet in our area. I like to chew on crispy apple slices instead of chewing on candy.
You are way ahead of me with the fall decorations. I never seem to have enough time to carry out all the things I want to do.
Hugs, JB
Wow! Does that apple pie look delicious! You certainly are getting ready for fall!
we made apple crisp this weekend and it was so very good...pie is next on the list! I love apple season and pumpkin decor...bring it on.
I don't celebrate Halloween, but I do love Autumn! So Autumn greetings to you too! :-) And how about baking some of those pies and giving the away, huh?!...Put me first o the list! ^_^
I don't know HOW you do it!!! That pie looks fantastic and you ARE THE best cook so I'm sitting here drooling. Then to make the pumpkin decoration and have time to do it besides all else you do at church AND work...I'm in awe!!!
I go to bed at 7:30.....
I love summer, but I think autumn is really my favorite. Last night as we were riding our bikes, it was still quite warm, but there was a breeze blowing, and there was just a hint of a chill in it. Won't be much longer now!
I'm in the mood...
=D
I love autumn. I thought about putting the stuff out too, but I didn't. I did make a homemade loaf of bread though....
Apple pie looks great. I need to get some and make Kyle's dumplings.
I hope to take a day later this month and visit an apple orchard/market. The smell of warm apple pie is comforting.
Oh my goodness, that apple pie does look good! I wish I had a piece right now.
It's hard to believe that fall will soon be upon us. I must get my fall decorations up, such as they are. I'm afraid I don't have many. I hope I can remember to take a picture!! Our weather surely doesn't feel like fall. It was 104 today but it is so overcast. I haven't really seen much of the sun since I got home. I hate to even think of going outside. Dick says it is really awful.....so muggy. Our monsoon season is really hanging on. I just wish it would rain and get some of those clouds out of the way!
I love your pumpkins. How did you make them? I am not very good at crafts.....in fact I'm terrible, but I wouldn't mind having some of those pumpkins. I might even try if I knew how.
Fall wreaths? I had never heard of them until I read your post. I've just Googled them and they look most interesting and attractive. Perhaps they will catch on over here.
Fall is my favorite season, and apple is my favorite pie. Yum! I saw pumpkin ice cream at the grocery store tonight and that clued me in that fall must be coming. I am such a terrible decorator that I still have last year's "Let it Snow" sign hanging on my back door. If I just wait another few months, I'll be right on track again. :)
I love Autumn, I love apple pie, and I would rather have pumpkin pie than see a pumpkin decoration! ;-) I do like the wreath and the little guy welcoming Fall in. How fun to gather the apples for your pie and enjoy e cool, rainy weather. Ahhhh.
Yaya,
You can download a Kindle reading app. free at Kindle/Amazon. I did that and got a lot of free books to try out reading on an electronic reader. Then I got a Kindle for my bd. Thanks to a good friend! Now I love it but there is nothing like a real book to hold and smell.
Hope you decide to read Vada Faith, remember it's free Sept. 15 at Kindle. www.amazon.com
Thanks, Barb
PS I love your fall decorations/love this time of year.
Ah I love that we live in opposite hemispheres. I've just planting pumpkin seeds and have the last two pumpkins from last season waiting to be eaten. As for the apple pie - it's almost morning tea time here and I am drooling! Glad to have a bit of blogging time. Best wishes always.
Holy Smoke! I licked my computer screen when I saw that pie.
Our apples will be ripe in a few weeks and I can't wait. We didn't have as many as we have some years, but the ones we have a very nice.
Fall is a fun time.
You're so right! 'tis the season to go out there and get pumpkined...Landon (2-year-old grandson) and I did exactly that yesterday. He picked out 9 mini-gourd/pumpkins and I got a purple aster and a carving pumpkin.
People laugh at me because I like pumpkins just as they are! I don't want to make cuts into them for Jack-O-LANTERNS!
And you are a girl after my heart with that apple pie.
I heart apples too!
making apple pie tomorrow. you made me so hungry for it!!
