Pictureless Post

I'm soooo not in love with the new blogger setup. It's really a pain to try and post pics and text.  Wait!!!! I was trying to post a positive spin here today. Jack thought my last post was very sad, or mad, or just not me.  After reading comments I  felt I really had whined a bit too much. So Sorry!  We all have bad days but for some reason I kept hitting walls last week trying to get some things accomplished. But everything is good now!   I felt we needed a bit of a change of scenery.  Friday afternoon Jack and I headed out for Chicago to visit Mom and family.  It's been great to sit and visit and enjoy the company of fun people...sort of like "fun guys"!  We've laughed and shopped and ate yummy food.  I'll post some pics when I get home.  My blogger friend Darlene (Grandma Robbins Nest) was suppose to be visiting us this weekend but she and her hubby had to cut the trip short.   I was very sorry that they couldn't come and hope that one day they'll make it out here.  Since I had taken the time off this weekend anyway it made it easy to head out here for my family visit.  So I'm welcoming fall,  enjoying the fairly cool and crisp days here in Chitown.  Hope everyone's weekend is going good.  As my dear late Mother-in-law would always say:  "Happy Fall Y'all!"

Glad you enjoyed your visit to Chicago.

I'm looking forward to fall too, though our summer looked a lot like fall. I'm looking forward to baking and roasting and wearing sweaters.

Hi Yaya, I'm glad that you had a nice visit with your mom in Chicago. I hope that things will be better this week for you.

I like fall because it's cooler but we are getting rain and an up and down unsettled weather. One minute it's cold and the next it's warm.

Getting used to the new Blogger interface can be a pain. Sometimes I switch over to the old one and fix what I want and then switch back. I'm not sure if you still can switch over to the old one still.

Hugs. JB

Never apologize for a cloudy day. They happen to everyone from time to time. Glad you had a good time in Chicago - one of my very favorite cities!!

I'm glad you talk about tough moments from time to time. Sometimes we learn the best lessons from each other when we talk about our trials. We see that the one's we love an respect come out okay when they put their shoulder to the wheel. Then when we get down we can know that we too can make it through.

I'm glad you are having a great time. We have your pics.

It took me forever to learn how to work the new Blogger set-up. I get used to things being one way, and then BOOM! They change everything. It always throws me off!

I think a lot of us are in a funk right now. I'm with you - a change of season will be welcome!

I'm not in love with the new blogger interface either. Glad the change in scenery (and visiting family) got you out of your funk!

I am so sorry we didn't make it to Ohio. But at least you got the time off to go to Chicago! It is always good to visit with family.

I'm just wishing our crazy weather would change. When it does, it will be overnight. That is how we experience fall, and we are both ready for it. I hate air conditioning. When it is fall here, we don't need air conditioning or the furnace. We can also have our windows and doors open all the time. That I love!!
