Name That Moon

Did you see it on Saturday night? The "Big Moon" appeared. I was on call and was a bit nervous to have, not only a full moon, but a "Big Moon". A full moon does usually bring out the weirdos to the hospitals..and I was expecting a crazy weekend. But I was pleasantly surprised...very quiet! Thank you Lord! So maybe it's only a regular full moon that drives people nuts. The jury is still out on that one but here are a few attempts at catching a pic of this event..I will name this one: "Big Moon Over Ashland"..original huh?
Then we have "Spooky Moon"
I'm not sure what happened here...looks like the Big Moon got a hole poked in it and it deflated...I report..you decide.

Looks like lightening...I know it's not.

I missed the big moon somehow. Bummer! Those pics aren't bad...sometimes they just don't reflect what we see though, I know what you mean.

We missed it here, too cloudy and foggy. A perigree moon is always awesome. xo

Beautiful photos! I tried to get some, but I don't have a zoom lens and they didn't turn out very well. It was just the most beautiful moon though!

Good job catching the moon. I tried and missed! Really nice job of framing it in "spooky moon".

The moon looks much better from your vantage that it did from my front yard. Good job, Missy!

The moon looks gorgeous. For once, I was actually up and awake when the moon was out. Normally, I am in bed by 10:00. Ha! We stayed out later than usual, though, so I was able to see it. I didn't know about the whole moon thing ... I just thought it was the apocalypse. I named it the Apocalyptic Moon.

You know all about nurses and moons!! It's been crazy here for us-- a full moon means lots of babies. I'll have to say though- it's been an incredible sight!

Sorry I missed this post. Great pictures of the big full moon. We missed seeing it because our sky was overcast.

I like the picture of the spooky moon with what looks like the face of a witch in it and a streak of green light as the witch is flying.

What a strange thing. Was it lightening? Do you know what it was?
I worked the emergency room in our hospital and it never failed to be one of those nights...;
