Winter Poem

I found this on the table at work today. I did not write it...I did steal it however. It fits the weather pattern in my little world. I think many can relate to it no matter if you live here, in the northeast, south, southeast or any strange place that has received snow that it doesn't usually (or ever) get. I follow many wonderful poet's blogs...I have even written a few of my own..Just not this one, but here's my contribution for this cold Monday.

IT'S WINTER IN OHIO
and the gentle breezes blow
seventy miles an hour
at thirty-five below.
OH HOW I LOVE OHIO
when the snow's up to your butt.
You take a breath of winter
and your nose gets frozen shut.
YES, THE WEATHER HERE IS WONDERFUL.
So I guess I'll hang around.
I could never leave Ohio
cuz I'm frozen to the ground.

Love that poem. It's really clever. You must know that I love clever poetry. Love the poetry, hate the weather. You can come visit me. I think it is about 78 degrees outside. Lots of sunshine too.

Thanks so much for the good wishes. I am feeling some better each day. I know I'm just an impatient patient. Incidentally, I am going to try your special remedy as soon as I get off this computer. That is, if Dick has enough mouth wash for me to use. lol

Nothing like a good laugh to warm up a winter's day. Thanks for mine today.

I'm sure OHIO is a wonderful place but give me the deep south at least during the winter! Sorry I haven't commented lately but work and health issues have interfered! I'll try to do better.

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog! I can totally hook you up with that color orange if you like! :)

I see from skimming around your blog that you're an OR nurse?! I am currently in nursing school. Just starting actually, I had my first day at the hospital today! We had a tour of where we will be working the next couple of months. I am very excited! Also very nervous! IV's on real people!! Kinda scary!

I've been wondering why my Aunt has been out of blog world lately, but now I know from her comment above!

Have a great weekend! :)

We're just on the lower edge of this current system of frigid air, so are in the 20s. No snow up to the butt, but definitely bone chilling. Just three more months til warmer temps!
