Contrasts

Life is full of contrasts...dark/light...good/evil...hot/cold...young/old..maybe you call it ying and yang, or opposition in all things. It doesn't matter really what you call it, it's always there to remind us that life changes..and it can change quickly and silently. Especially when you least expect it! Now, I'm sure you're thinking that something monumental must have happened or some big change has come into our lives. No, nothing really. The weather has been so weird..yesterday warm, today freezing. So I thought I would post a few pics that demonstrate what I'm feeling. The starkness of this area of our yard with all the leaves gone. Compared to the next pic..
This was taken in the early morning on a lovely summer day.The lushness, and the green that's so vivid.
Yesterday it was 55de. and sunny as can be. Quite the contrast to the next pic taken this afternoon.
Today is was 27de. when I got home and Eddy here is standing on snow...brrrr...
Contrasts on a dog's life..Here's Eddy at 3 months old. I don't remember him being that little!
Eddy all grown up!Why all the Eddy pics? He's moving on to greener pastures this weekend...Yup, he's leaving..with his master of course. Jordan is moving to a house in town and since Eddy truly belongs to him, they're heading out together. It's time and it's not like they're going to the moon..it's just 6 or 7 miles from here. (and I can always stop there after work!)

Well Eddy, say good-bye to Whispering Pines as your permanent home. I know you'll like the new digs..new friends to meet, new places to walk, new cats to sniff..we're here to babysit when you need it and for visits any time you feel the urge to run down this hill...P.S.: Squeak says Bye! Yup, contrasts...here today, gone tomorrow. Happy/Sad

Yes, you have captured the contrasts, even in the dog leaving. Though, as I see the last picture, that dog seems a bit sad to be leaving Whispering Pines.

Happy/sad...it's hard to make change. I was thinking, SNOW DAY, SNOW DAY...I know life rough just coming off of a long weekend. :)

Life is certainly full of changes...some good, some not. Your thoughts on contrasts are certainly interesting. Here yesterday it was almost 77 degrees...today in the 50's and very chilly!

Great post. It made me feel reflective, which is perfect for a December evening when my husband is working late...

I've even got a candle burning on my side table!

He looks sad to be leaving. You'll have to invite him back for holidays! Your place looks like dog heaven!

I have always loved the changing seasons. That photo with the fresh snow really appeals to me.

It was great catching up on all your posts, I think this post has given me another idea for a woman's tea. Life is all about contrast and how we deal with them. Have a great week missed being able to read everyone's blogs, but life has been quite hectic around here for a while, cannot wait until things calm down
