My post title does not mean I got a speeding ticket. I read a thing that said September went fast but October is going 75 in a 35. So true! The month is half over and I'm so behind in posting. I don't know where my days go but I need to get on the blog path or give it up. So here's a recap of the past weeks. We had our annual family Fall gathering last weekend. The weather was great except a little rain came right before the party but thankfully stopped and all was good. Before the party on Saturday my sister and my nieces and little 'ol me put on our flannel shirts and headed downtown for Flannel Days. All the stores had sales and discounts for wearing flannel! The town was super decorated up. Free food at Home hardware but we didn't stop for any. We found some cute treasures of course and enjoyed a beautiful morning at the farmer's market.
Lots of places for photo moments. Here's Midge, Amy and Ella (Amy's daughter)Katie, Amy and Ella. The downtown area had tons of straw bales, pumpkins and mums to add color and fun. After a few hours we had to head back to the Pines to get set up for the party at 5. We had a good turn out and we enjoyed good food and fun!Sunday, October 20, 2024

The sunsets have been fabulous! So that's all for now...lots of pics I know but my blog book will appreciate it! Night all!

Hi Yaya! Yes, October is speeding by. Your fall family gathering looks great! What a nice tradition. I hope that you continue having a beautiful fall! It's always great to hear about what is going on in your world. See you again soon!
Hi, YaYa!
The timing of your post couldn't be better, dear friend, because I am officially returning for my three days of blog duty at the end of the week. Hey, your header image is the neatest, most imaginative Halloween scene ever! There we see a clear example of dieting taken to the extreme.
Ashland does right by its citizens in offering community-building events like Flannel Days. I can see how you had a great time shopping and eyeing all of those pumpkin and straw Fall/H-ween theme decorations.
Thanks for showing highlights of your annual Fall family gathering. I am pleased to know the weather cooperated and that a great time was had by all. Hello to sister Midge! You are looking fit as a fiddle. It was also nice to see family members Amy, Ella, Katie, Summer & Coby, Driana and your smooch-pooch Annabelle. Apparently, the Yeti in Creepy Woods was a no-show. I'm thinking he was sitting in his hut watching football all day and evening. When he spots that ghastly skeleton in the purple shroud in his neck of the woods, it's bound to be a case of love at first fright.
The pictures of your brightly colored fall leaves are stunning. We also have our share of autumn splendor over here to your east, but we are in the middle of a long drought with no relief in sight.
I'm delighted your family party was a success and that plans were laid for a repeat in December. Yessum, October is whizzing by, and there really aren't that many shopping days left till Christmas.
My next post starts running this Saturday, Oct. 26, and I invite you to drop by for some scary fun if you get the chance. Have a wonderful week, dear friend YaYa!
Such fun photos! But my very favorite is your header LOL. I hope no pies were harmed in the making of that photo. ;-) You certainly must be a more accomplished entertainer than me to be able to enjoy downtown time before your party. I'd have been rushing around like a chicken with its head cut off. Our fall colors really burst out all over this past week or so. I was beginning to think we wouldn't have much color given that we have had so little rain and then it's been so windy....but I was pleasantly surprised. Hope you have a wonderful new week ahead. ~Robin~
You always have such fun family gatherings! Glad your sister came and you enjoyed shopping.

First of all I love your header photo!!! However where are the witches???? On my maternal grandparents farm. there was a section of woods I would not go in as I thought it was creepy too. So glad your family made it to the party and I know they are had fun! Flannel Days sounds like an awesome event. Maybe we need to do this at our store next year. Thanks for the idea. Janice
