Hello December..Hello Snow

First day of December brought the first snowfall of this season.

Last night the snow started and we ended up with about 5 inches of heavy, wet, snowman making white stuff from heaven. (Or perhaps hell if this is not your thing!)

The Pines are frosted..lovely.

I wouldn't suggest sitting on the bench under the oak tree. Brrrr!
I wasn't planning on having flocked wreaths on the little red barn but Mother Nature had a different idea. If you don't get snow where you live I will gladly share the pics of the snow so you can stay warm and still enjoy the season! As the seasons change so do other things in life.
Thursday Jordan is heading out to California for a new position with his company. Because of the snow storm he was able to leave a couple of days later than planned. We will miss him but are excited for this new adventure. Yes, I'll probably cry but he's looking forward to a change and if my kids are happy so am I.  One more month for this crazy year. Jack is home and doing good and that really makes me happy. Stay safe everyone!

Hi, YaYa!

It's a welcome sight to see you posting about the weather, hopefully indicating that your stress filled life is returning normal. Thanks for showing me old man winter's calling card as he paid an early visit to The Pines. This morning our overnight temp will bottom out at 40 degrees here in Central Florida, making the last 24 hours by far the coolest we have experienced this season. It feels great. Now all we need is a heaping helping of your white stuff. :) Your big girl camera captured some beautiful snow scenes. If not for the shots that include your little red barn and Jordan's colorful U-Haul truck, one could easily imagine they are a set of vintage black & white photos snapped in the middle of the last century. I wish Jord safe travels, great success and a happy life out in California, and I hope that Jack continues full speed ahead down the road to recovery.

Enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend YaYa!

you have had more snow than we have at this point we have had a tiny dusting but that is it. Nothing on the ground right now. It is true if your kids are happy you are happy but I am sure you will miss him but someplace to travel to in the future.
so glad your husband is moving forward in his healing. I think of you both so often. I know how stressful it is to have a very sick spouse.
I am sure you are decorating up a storm too.

I love your lovely house and snowy photos! It' hard letting go, especially when they are moving someplace distant. But the good news is that he has a job when so many are not working these days. Take good care. 💖

Beautiful photos of your winter wonderland. We had heavy rain all yesterday and some rain from the day before but I'm so glad it was a balmy 15 degree Celcius, so no snow. I hate to think how much snow that would have been. Way over a foot I'm sure.

I'm glad Jack is recuperating at home and what a blessing that you are now retired and can look after him. I hope he'll be back to his old self very soon.

I agree with Cathy, letting go is difficult. I wish them a safe trip to California and success with their business.

Stay safe and well.
Hugs, Julia

The best to Jack, hope he continues to improve and B's ready for the Christmas season.

Glad Jack is home and doing good! Lovely snow pictures! I always enjoy seeing them; just don't want to live in it any more :)

Well, indeed "Hello Snow" LOL. You...and other parts of the country...apparently ae getting some early surprises from Mother Nature. She gave us ours early (back in September already), but we have not had any precipitation for the last many weeks. And as far as I am concerned, it can stay that way...oh, and warm up a bit. Your pines look so very majestic with their white mantels! Doubt they are doing much "whispering" right now LOL. And, hey...I have a Jordan too. (Have I mentioned that this is getting a bit weird LOL??) ~Robin~

So glad to hear good news about Jack. The snow is lovely. I would love for us to get a little but it's very unlikely here in GA:)
