Spring? Fall?

The other day I was walking the yard trying to find something to photograph.  The sun was setting and I clicked this pic of the trees with the sun on them...they look so fallish!
It's Spring however and I'm not ready to think about pumpkins and leaves falling just yet. Even though the weather wants to mimic October. The other morning as I walked to the hospital the temps were in the 30's, frost on the ground, and the wind was blowing through the trees sounding just like a Fall day.  So I quickly snapped a bit of my blooming Azalea to remind me it's May.
I love the red and green against the white house.  This lovely blooming plant doesn't last very long so I guess that's why it gives it's all when it does bloom.  As I was walking up toward the Creepy Woods I felt like someone was watching me.  I looked between the pine trees and saw I was being spied upon by my new neighbors...
I haven't formally met them yet, but I think they are adorable! They can spy on me any time as long as I can spy back with my camera! Hi fellas!  To end this post I'll give 2 shout-outs.  The first to my wonderful son Phil who celebrated his birthday yesterday.  He asked if I would make some lasagna for his bday dinner.  Followed by chocolate cake and icecream it was a winner!
He had a little help blowing out all those candles. He can't believe he's 37.  How does he think I feel??!! I can't believe it either!  Happy birthday Pip!  My final shout-out goes to all the nurses I work with...Happy Nurses Week! You all are the best of the best! If you know a nurse, give her or him a big hug and a bigger thanks.  Also, Happy Hospital Week.  Feel free to hug a hospital if you want but be sure to stay out of one if you can!

Such pretty colorful flowers and I do like your new neighbors! Happy belated birthday wishes to your son! Yum on the lasagna! We were 108 degrees on Thursday and 73 degrees on Saturday; not complaining (too much, it did set the pool back a bit with temps; was hoping to be in it already:)

Hi, YaYa!

Yessum, the frost is on the pumpkin and very soon bunches of trick-or-treaters will be knocking at your door. Better stock up on candy a.s.a.p. :) And let me be the first to wish you a merry Christmas! :) I can hardly believe you experienced temps in the 30s almost halfway through the month of May. The uncomfortable heat and humidity are taking hold here in Florida and I would love to feel mid 30s air for at least a short while. I agree that the brilliant red and green colors set against the white house paint look stunning. You were wise to snap a picture before the blooms run their course.

I like your nosy neighbors. Are they llamas or alpacas? I can't tell the difference. Have you tried to pet them?

Happy 37th birthday to son Phil! With your large family there seems to be a birthday to celebrate every week of the year.

Yessum, we owe a debt of gratitude to hard working nurses and they deserve hugs for Nurses Week. It's nice of you to remind us.

Enjoy the rest of your week and happy Mother's Day to you, dear friend YaYa!

Happy belated birthday to your son Phil. He's lucky that his mom still cook him a birthday cake and make him Lasagna. I salute you on this Nurse week. I do appreciate your kind. I was just looking at a nice red Azalea just like yours today at the Co-op garden centre and I was so tempted to take it home with me but I resisted...
Hugs, Julia

Mother's Day is a sad one here for both Jilda and me. I just want to tell all my Facebook friends to spend as much quality time with their mom's as possible.
