Fiddling On My Roof

The weather has been pretty fabulous these past few weeks and with the dry spell I was hoping to see our Amish roofers.  They had some farming and other jobs to get caught up on but yesterday I came home from work to see some "fiddling" on my roof!
A little of this...
A lot of that..and much hammering. I wouldn't suggest taking any naps at the Pines! When I saw this sight this morning I knew they had come back...
So where are the horses?  I grabbed Addy and we headed up toward the Creepy Woods.
When she saw these guys....
She was thinking that PawPaw and YaYa had gotten her an early birthday gift...NOT!~
Please YaYa???  Sorrow cutie...I think the workers would miss them when it comes time to head for home.  We picked them up some cold pop and ice...pop with lots of caffeine to move the job along...and I'm sure they'll be done in record time! Until then I just keep hearing the words to the song from "Fiddler On The Roof"..."If I were a rich man/(woman)."
Just keep fiddling guys!

Poor Addy...how could you resist? Looked a lovely horse! Went to video store last night and actually thought about getting out Fiddler on the Roof, one of my favourites. My partner unfortunately is not into the musicals like me.

Hi, dear YaYa! Looks like your house had a bad case of shingles! :) It also looked like Addy (the strongest grandkiddo in the world) was balancing that horse on her head and shoulders! :) I'm glad your weather is still holding up and that the Amish roofers were able to get their work done. The Amish were a familiar sight the dozen years I lived and worked in Lancaster County, PA.

It's great to hear from you today, dear friend YaYa. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and be sure to witness democracy in action this Monday when I tally the votes and declare a winner in my BOTB. God bless!

Such a cute post! Fiddling. And how sweet that the horses can graze while they're fiddling on the roof. ;)

Where did you find the Amish helpers. We tried, but they never showed up here to give a quote...

What a cute picture of your granddaughter... poor little thing... thinking you got her a horse a horse for her birthday.
I'm so glad you got your Amish roofers fiddling on the roof. It will feel great to have it done.

My back lawn is waiting to be cut so i must go.
Hugs.

I love your punny post titles. :) And thank you for sticking the song in my head. I sometimes go around humming that one for weeks on end! Glad your roof is finally getting redone. We've had lots of great weather, so hopefully you haven't had any leaking during your wait.

You can't blame a girl for trying to have her own horse!
Amish Roofers...sounds like a good name for a band!

Too cute with your grand daughter and hoping for a horse :) I do admire roofers; something I do not think I could do, especially in a two story house like yours! What was sobering was in the house we lived in before we moved to Arizona, we had a new roof put in back in 2012. It was guaranteed for 25 years. We both kind of looked at each other and wondered if we would be alive by the end of the guarantee. But on the upside, its a wonderful selling point now that the house is on the market that the roof is so "young" and won't have to be replaced for many a year.

That picture of the gran is too cute. Our neighbor bought his granddaughters horses. In the past, the girls (they look to be just a little older than yours) visited him occasionally. Now they are there almost every day. Bribery? You bet, but the look on those faces when they ride is pure joy.
Glad you're getting that new roof before winter.

very cool to have them show up with horses. And what little girl would not like to have a horse.

It is nice of you guys to hire Amish roofers. People usually just call the local home improvement places.

Looks like that weather was really nice to have your roof fixed back then. And those workers are indeed very diligent with their job! It is truly important to maintain your roof so that it will not cause you a bigger problem in the future. Anyway, Addy sure looks so cute, Yaya! Maybe you can give her a horse. Haha! Take care!
