I'm Having A Meltdown

Yesterday we had picture perfect weather.  The sky was a clear, crisp blue and the sun shone brightly.  It looks as if we're going to get rid of the snow for awhile.  I'm not naïve enough to think it's over for the season, but it gives me hope when the grass is finally returning!
It looks like the snow is creeping in away from the pines.
There's still plenty more to go though.
The driveway is a runny mess out to the street.
Speaking of street. With the snow and ice off the road I can finally do more walking. I went all the way up to the end of my road and back again.  It felt great! I'm hoping to increase the distance each time and get back to a regular walking schedule.  I really miss that!
The ice on the driveway is slowly melting too, leaving behind the mud.  I take care to walk on the strip of stone between the ice.  Lexi was with me on Sunday and she told me her words of wisdom: "YaYa, if I fall on the ice I just fall down...if you fall on the ice you're going to break something!"  Yep, you got that right Lex! So I'm being very careful and after the highs this week to almost 60de, it shouldn't be a problem for long! I hope a big meltdown is happening in your neck of the woods.  This has been a long, cold and snowy Winter for many of us.  So when days like yesterday come along, I just count my blessings and enjoy it.
The sunset last night was glorious!

Good morning, dear YaYa! I'm happy to see proof that winter's on the run and spring is waiting in the wings. I am delighted to learn that you can take longer walks and that you are exercising caution when doing so to prevent a fall. To further demonstrate the post-op progress you are making, may I suggest that you jump in Lake Erie and pull a string of tugboats behind you as you swim to all the way from Cleveland to Buffalo? Be sure to contact local TV stations so that they can show video of your feat on the news. :)

I hope you continue to "make strides" toward 100% recovery, dear friend YaYa, and continue to let the excitement build as spring approaches in your part of the country.

God bless!

LOL with what Lexi said, sadly at our age its the truth (you are younger than me I'm sure but we are still in that same decade :) Beautiful gorgeous sunset and I love your new blog header picture! It is refreshing to see the snow melting :) I remember when we lived in Montana, I liked the March snows. They came but didn't stick around for very long. Glad too to hear that you are able to do some walking; good to get out and stretch those muscles :)

So good to hear that you're walking outdoors again, that's a good sign of Spring. You're lucky to have some pieces of grass showing here and there... it won't be long now.
Out temps have creeped up a bit too and it's supposed to go up to 7 °C or 44.6 °F. tomorrow.
Isn't that great that we will have some snow melt tomorrow.

Lexi is a smart girl, better listen to her Yaya.

Just 10 days to Spring. It's getting closer.
Stay safe and happy,
Hugs,
JB

I'm so happy to hear you're getting some warmer temps and less snow. I wonder how much flooding will occur with all the snow melting in the north. I'm sure that's a concern for a lot of people. Good for you on your walking. Keep it up! And my goodness, that sunset.....Gorgeous!

That's cute what Lexi said. I was also hoping you were being careful of the icy patches... We can't see our grass, yet, but I can almost see my whole driveway. Good to know the warm up is definitely helping. Soccer tryouts and golf tryouts this week for my kids. These winters have been so hard on the Spring sports! Forced to go indoors...

Watch out for the tires. Sudden changes in temps can lower the pressure. Bad experience for a lot of people in New York.
PS That Sunset is beautiful.

Love that your snow is melting, I have felt sorry for all the snow in the Midwest and North. (We had some in Atlanta area but it missed me! YAY)

A meltdown can be a good thing!!! We've been covered up here as well-- 14 new inches of snow less than a week ago--- but now it's sunny and almost 60!!! We're melting away also-- and doing the happy dance!! Spring is coming-- I'm counting on it!!
Love
Vicki

Beautiful, beautiful photographs, Ya-Ya.

Our snow is finally disappearing here in Virginia. How well I remember Illinois, Naperville to be exact, and going to my younger and only sister's funeral in sub-zero, snow-frozen December. No green anywhere! I'm going to have a serious talk with her when I see her again, about departing in December when she used to grumble about several of her children getting married that time of year!

Outta the mouth of babes!! LOL Better listen to Lexi. Love it! Spring is late to arrive in our area as we've had rain for almost 2 weeks solid. Of course that means gray, dreary skies. I miss the sunshine. Mister is usually mowing the grass by this time of the year.

I am so glad your snow is melting.
We didn't have snow so we don't have to worry about the melt off but we will be crying drought this summer am sure. Happy to hear you are able to walk about outside once again. I bet that felt so wonderful.
