Well, this little piggy did go to market on Saturday. The farmer's market is booming right about now. The corn is abundant, the veggies fresh, the bake goods yummy! Of course it's not all food. There are vendors selling all kinds of wares from birdhouses to dish cloths. Jewelry, knitted items, carved wood and rugs. It's pretty fun just to walk around and look at everything.
It's also a good time to run into folks you haven't seen for a bit. Saturday was lovely and sunny and not too hot. It was busy!
In my photo attempt here I was trying to capture this guy's outfit. Sorry if it didn't come through! He was enjoying himself just talking to everyone. I'm not really sure what he was selling!
Mode of transportation is varied here. New trucks, or vintage....they get their items here!
You can even use this type....a wagon that uses no gas....
Just park your horse anywhere! Our market goes into October where produce gets slimmed down to pumpkins, squash, and other cool things that make Fall a fun time to visit. It opens at 9am but if you're looking for something fairly popular you might want to arrive by 8. Horse and buggy is optional! Oh, actually there were no pigs in sight!

Hi, YaYa! These are great pictures. I enjoy strolling around farmer's markets. We have one down here on the other side of town and Mrs. Shady and I love to go there, soak up the atmosphere and load up on bargain priced produce.
I'm told by friends back home in Pennsylvania that people there are already wearing jackets and sweaters in the evening. That's hard to believe because Central Florida is currently in the middle of a miserable hot spell with triple digit "feels like" temperatures.
I hope your week is going well, dear friend, and I look forward to our next exchange. God bless!
Girlfriend! I love the Farmer's Market! I go as often as I can. Went to one here in Colorado last weekend. I wanted to buy something from every vendor, but I was strong and brave. I contained myself and only bought a few food items. Corn, cookies and bread.
How cool!...It's sorta like our 'Big E' here! :-)) I wish someone would take my crochet items and sell them!! LOL
I have not been to one farmers market this year I need to get in gear and go before they are done.
I am always to busy thrifing:)

I think the man in the first photo is selling feeders made of metal.
I used to go to our Farmers Market on Saturday for breakfast but haven't been there in a long time. It's always so crowded and is right down town. It's open year round every Saturday with all kind of vendors.
For some people it's a Saturday morning ritual.
Have a great week Yaya.
Hugs,
JB
I can't resist a farmers market. All those local goodies. It's great to support our neighbours when we can
When we lived in Montana, I used to like to go to the Farmer's Market that ran April through the first part of October. There was one place that made the best chocolate bread, almost like a brownie, but bread. You had to get there early to get some, but it was worth it :)
Your farmer's market looked like a great place to visit and spend some time :)
betty
I've been meaning to go to our local Farmer's Market. I read a lot about it on our community Facebook page but I've never been. Yours looks like fun!
I think he's selling bird feeders. And I'm ashamed to say that I haven't made it to market yet this year. Pretty sad since it's practically across the street from me!
You've definitely captured the spirit of farmers' markets. I visit our local one semi-regularly but I think it ends on Labour Day. Great pics, YaYa!
I was there too, drooling over the green truck! Isn't that neat?!?
This is cool that people actually ride horses to the farmer's market. Very cool.
