Hello December

I feel like I've been in a blog fog.  Not much to write about and to top it off I broke my camera, bought a new one, hated the new one and took it back, sent the broken camera to a camera hospital someplace in New Jersey, and I feel lost without it!  Anyway, God invented phone cameras for a reason and I'm resorting to using mine.  Here's a photo op of what's what at the Pines.
Our little Hallmark town had it's first ever tree lighting ceremony in our downtown area.
 Pretty!
Winner, winner, almost chicken dinner in our front yard.  She belongs to our neighbors and somehow found her way to the Pines.  Arnie had her spotted but I made sure he let her get on home.
This really weird thing happened on Sunday.  I think it's called "sun".  Blue skies, sunshine, and temps in the mid 60's.  I'm sure Prozac sales went down for Ohioans on this day.
I was so stunned I had to take a picture of my shadow.
Arnie was wondering where the water from the sky went.
 Good morning sun!

Super green backyard.  I noticed some white stuff tonight however.  We'll see how long the green lasts.
Saturday we found a new little store to frequent. It's been around for a few years but changed owners and I like it!  It's a bulk food store with a deli and you can eat at the cute retro tables. Plus they feature local artists and sell the paintings.
Jack helped me find some good chocolate for candy making.
When you walk in the door this cozy corner is just calling you to sit for a spell!
That's about it for now.  Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.  December is rushing on and I'm feeling a bit behind in my shopping.  I know I'll get it done and hopefully this blog fog will lift and I'll have something a bit more exciting to write about.  Ok, who am I fooling..this is as good as it gets! Hello December!

I think I would be spending a lot of time at that store in that cozy corner! It is always good to see the sun! We had a bit of a dreary day here with not much sun and I could just feel myself not as energetic as I would be if the sun was shining a bit more. I still can't fathom that we are in December. How could this year have gone by so fast? And worst yet, I said the same thing about last year LOL :)

Hi, YaYa!

I'm sorry to learn that you broke your camera and needed to send it away to a camera hospital. Can you imagine yourself working in the OR of a cam hospital? I can just hear the surgeon asking you to pass the Phillips-head. :)

That is a spectacular Christmas tree in downtown Ashland, dear friend! I am sure the tree lighting ceremony will become a major event attended by large numbers of people in the coming years.

Did you ever hear the one about the chicken that crossed the road, wandered into the Creepy Woods and became the Yeti's dinner? :) You guys must have had more than your share of precip in recent weeks. We are starting to dry up (and heat up) down here and could use some moisture and cold air for the holidays. That cute store and deli looks like my kind of place. Mrs. Shady and I enjoy gazing at artwork as shop or dine.

There's nothing "phony" about these pictures. You did a great job w/o your regular camera, but I hope you get it back soon as good as new.

Happy December to you as well, dear friend YaYa!

wonderful tree lighting. we rarely see the sun here but we also rarely have a week without a storm of some sort. It has been a hard year the summer to hot the fall one big rain storm and now we have more snow right now that we do some winters ENOUGH!
I hope you are getting your shopping done I am doing lots on line but we do not do that much anyway.

November whizzed by and already December is doing the same thing. I don't have a single gift bought and just got home from a 5-day visit to see my family. I haven't blogged either.

I love that beautiful lit Christmas tree. We have snow here and it looks like it's here to stay but it's so nice to see the sun even though it's cold. There are no mosquitoes.
Hugs, Julia

I love small town Christmas doings. Yes we better get busy getting Christmas shopping done. I haven’t bought any presents yet. I have a list made and going to check off my list hopefully the first of next week. Glad you are having some sun. I’m sure your Pines will have a white Christmas.

Ever so sorry to hear about your camera. I hope you get it back very soon. Phone cameras are just not the same, although sometimes I rely on mine a too much and regret it later.

Happy December to you!

Sounds like you've had a lot going on in your neck of the woods:) I have been so busy that I am way behind in reading my favorite blogs! Between the grandkids having two projects due next week, decorating, shopping, etc. etc. my head has been in a spin! Sorry to hear about your camera and hope it won't cost you an arm and a leg to have it repaired! Hope too that you are enjoying the season:)

Living in a small town with its community togetherness is such a delight. I miss that.

Have a joyous and blessed Christmas!
