Wearing Green?

My family roots are about as far from Ireland as one person can get, but I never pass up an opportunity to celebrate in my own way.  I did wear green today and Jack had on his St. Patrick's Day tie at work.  I put corned beef and cabbage in the crock pot and my son Phil stopped by with Addy and Lexi and joined us for dinner.  (I never even took a pic of the food or the family...weird for me!)   With the sun setting in the sky and the light still bright until almost 7:30, I grabbed my camera and snapped a few pics outdoors.   I did get a bit of green....no leprechauns and no pot of gold.  However, I did spy some yellows, oranges and reds:
Hello Spring!
This yellow is among the green.
Is this a sailor's delight?
I hope so!

Hi, YaYa!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you! I'm green with envy seeing the beautiful daffodils blossoming on your property. Those pictures of the sunset are awesome, too. I'm happy to know you had Phil and the grandkiddos over for corned beef and cabbage. I hope you fixed a plate for Chubbsie. Mrs. Shady and I wore green today and had dinner at a dockside restaurant. We dined outdoors under an umbrella and watched fish jumping out of the water and gulls flying by. There are gators in the water but we didn't spot any. It was a perfect day to be outdoors and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Thank you for sharing your day with us, dear friend YaYa!

Such pretty skies :) Isn't there a saying that everyone is Irish on Saint Patrick's Day? Seems like you did your best to celebrate it with the food and the festivities of wearing green :)

Happy St Patrick Day even If I'm a day late. I go to bed before you posted.
Wow, who need a pot of gold when you can get the whole golden sky!!!
Lucky you to have some green and blooming daffodils.
I wish I was there for the corned beef and cabbage.
Have a great day. Hugs,
JB

I really enjoyed seeing those lovely flowers in bloom and the green grass. We've seen a lot of melt lately but are still under snow. But soon, so very soon, I will be visiting my garden everyday to see who is poking their noses out! I can hardly wait.
Enjoy your weekend!

Gorgeous sunset!
I had green on too....and I was out shopping in the afternoon and I could not believe how many other shoppers had on green too! The teacher in me always feel the need to dress for the holidays because the kids get so excited about it...but I guess other people do too! :)

My Moms family is Irish so on Thursday I put in my shamrock socks and spent some time at an Irish pub singing away with the band. All moms favorite old Irish tunes.

We have to wear our uniforms with company logo but I did wish the customers and people who work in the store happy St.Patrick's Day. My sister in law is half Irish so they make fancy dinner,
That Sunset is breath taking . Wow, you are some photographer !
