A dear Dad like my Dad....he was the best! I miss him every day and I sure wish he could have known my kids because I know he would have enjoyed them so much.
A dear Dad like Jack's Dad. After moving to Ashland just a few weeks after my Dad passed away, my Father-in-law stepped in to be a wonderful second Dad. He helped us out many times when anything was needed and he was able to know all my boys and he and Jack's Mom came to any and every activity they could. He and my son Phil were especially close and he taught Phil so many things.
A dear Dad like Jack...shown here with our Granddaughters. He was a good Dad to our 4 boys and a good Grandfather to our 9 Grandkiddos! He's always there to help them in any way possible and also he's been there as a mentor for countless numbers of boys who have been in our Scout troop for the past 26yrs.
A dear Dad like these Dads...Phil, Jack, and Craig. They are the best Dads to their kiddos. They grew up to be responsible young men and we're so proud of them! I don't have Jordan pictured here because he's not a Dad and has often said he really doesn't want any children. Time will tell on that but he is a great Dad to Eddy!
Pretty pathetic! So they went together and got this one:
Pretty.....and you can use charcoal or gas...love that! Plus Phil and Jordan had put it all together...that made Jack happy...and Phil went and got all the meat and fixings to test her out...Works perfectly! Our son Jack and his family came too but guess who never took any pics...I'm having a blog block on my brain! I did capture this:
Jord and Phil cooking up a storm...and the only reason I got that was because Jack saw them and said, "Hey, now there's a blog worthy moment..the guys cooking!" We had nice weather, tons of good food, and the love of family...that's the best gift ever! Jack got Craig and Amy's gift earlier in the week. It's the coolest shirt ever...it repels mosquitoes....that should be perfect for Boy Scout Camp next week! Such clever kids! I hope everyone had a good day...especially if you're a Dad to kids or animals..you're a Dear Dad to them!

Hi, dear YaYa! This was certainly a fine Father's Day tribute to all the men in your life. I continue to be amazed at how movie star handsome and dashing your father looked in pictures. It is a shame that he is no longer around to know your sons and all the grandkiddos. Such a great man he was. So was Jack's dad for stepping into the role of your father when needed. Your Jack reminds me of John Ettline, a role model for generations of young men. I applaud your husband! It's great to see your boys and some of the grandkiddos again and especially my old buddy Eddy whom I haven't seen in quite a while. What a fabulous grill that is! May you have many more nice weather weekends to enjoy outdoor cookouts and dips in the pool.
God bless, dear friend YaYa!
A new grill! Sweet!! I would love to have one that has both options. You sure do have some great dads in your family. Glad you all had such a great Dad's Day! My girls are coming to the lake next week. Yay! A belated Father's Day. It's been a little while since we were all together. I'm so excited! Have a great week and hope your blog block lifts for you soon.
wow what a grill! Dad's are so important my dad died when I was 19. He missed all of his kids growing up and his grandkids. So sad :(
It looks like a great time was had by all.

What could be better for any dad than a beautiful new grill. That looks like the Cadillac of grills!
A great tribute to your "dad's". I would love to know more about that shirt. Hugs

The girls have that same big smile as you and that's a bonus... Love that cool grill. A Real Man Grilling Machine...
You have such a nice family and I love the cool mosquito repellant shirt too. I sure could use one as the mosquitos are wild here.
I'll have to look for one for working in the back garden.
I love your tribute to the dads in your life.
My daughter is visiting with family and I haven't taken a single photo yet. I'm getting worst and worst, you at least take photos...
Hugs,
JB
That looks like a nice, fancy-schmancy grill. Just imagine the yummy ribs it will see! I hope the shirt works well. What an awesome idea! Jack surely has been a wonderful father to our scouts for many years. Hopefully he'll still be scouting for at least another dozen years or so. :)
Repels Mosquitos? For real? I'm going to check that out.
Wonderful tribute to all the dads in your family. Who cares if it is late? It's your blog and you can post whenever you like. (Being late is my theme as well this year)!
As usual your post is so wholesome and so inviting. I like the way you take care of every detail about the subject your write and the connection with your family. God bless all the dads in your family.
You have 4 wonderful sons!! Thats a great fathers day gift with the food included.
A shirt that repels mosquitoes? Wow - that sounds life-changing! A very nice tribute to all of the different sort of Dads in your life. I like the variety!
