There may even be a bit of the Pines thrown in when it arrives at your house..I'm not telling! Just comment this weekend and I'll pick somebody on Monday. Now for some of my "Friday Night Lights". For some that might include Friday night high school football. For me it means Friday night campfire!
Jack and our little Granddaughters got the fire started in the pit while I got the chow ready. It was fun to sit around the fire eating and laughing with these grown up kiddos. I enjoyed my kids when they were little, but it's also great to have them as adults.
Yum!
How to balance a napkin under the chin and a plate of dogs on your lap?
Although Lexi did have a good chair technique!
As the evening got darker, the flames got hotter and it was time for the s'more fest!
Perfection on a stick!
Gooey mess on the hands! It was a wonderful, star filled night. This week has been so perfect weather wise. Sunny, blue skies, 70de., cool at night and just so lovely. I even spotted a shooting star the other night! Love that! We enjoyed listening to Addy tell us all about the planets..she's 4 but she knows all about them. She loves Saturn because of it's pretty rings...she likes the name, Venus...but she feels so sorry for poor Pluto...she cracks me up! Have a great weekend!

I brought out a few in door fall decorations this week, it's hard to believe this year is drawing to a close. I going camping in a couple of weeks and your camp fire just increased my anticipation !
Hello again, dear YaYa! That haul from the Parsley Pot will make a great care package for the lucky winner of your giveaway:
* something old (looking)
* something new
* something borrowed (from Whispering Pines)
* something BOO!!!!!
Among the many things I love about you is the fact that you and your family know how to have fun. Whispering Pines is the hub of family togetherness, something far too few families enjoy these days. You guys are getting it right and I salute you.
These pictures bring back happy memories of my youth in Pennsylvania. My aunt and uncle and three cousins had a farm. Every year when Halloween approached we made a campfire on their land, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, drank apple cider, played games, carved pumpkins into Jack-O-Lanterns and told ghost stories.
How I envy you with your sunny days in the 70s and cool crisp evenings! It'll be mid November before we experience those conditions down here.
BTW, where was Eddy when those kids were lying on a towel eating? I hope he was treated to a doggie or two or three and wound up snoozing on the sofa with a full belly and a contented smile on his jowls.
Thank you very much, dear YaYa, for reminding us how great it is to have a large and loving family and the importance of spending time together as a group. Enjoy the rest of your Ohio weekend!
I love Addy's astronomy lesson. And those marshmallows look perfectly cooked. I like them a little crispy. Fall campfires are the best. Less bugs too.
What a nice way to spend a nice evening with family. We used to do that when the kids were smaller, somewhere along the way we got old and no longer partake in such nice round the fire time together. I miss it.
Very nice giveaway Yaya. I like fall scented things too like cinnamon apple. mmm...
I finished the pink scarf and will add the fringe this evening if time allows. You can email me at

The scarf is not perfect but it's synonymous with fighting breast cancer.
It's so nice today, I'm getting plenty of outdoor work done like cutting small bushes that are growing against the old farm buildings.
Hugs,
JB
It is a beautiful day here in NH our nights get pretty chilly but still we haven't fired up the old pit. Put me in for your giveaway it all looks cute to me.
Cathy
Yay for fall and family nights.
My wife also thinks I am a sucker for anything smelley. I try hard not to buy any scented candle when I go to Walmart. Count me in, please.
OMG! I would love to try it. I am sure you had a swell time with your whole family!
Perfect fall evening!! Thanks for the wonderful giveaway! sharoo1975@yahoo.com
Fall is my fave season! Happy Fall!
Your family sure knows how to have fun! We are overdue for a nice bonfire and the nights are getting perfect for one! In my younger days I loved summer best -- now it's Fall !
I always enjoy your family photos! You have such a great crew to hang out with! Sure looks like fun!
That campfire looks way more fun than a football game. You are right, we've had PERFECT weather this week. Hopefully we can repeat it a few more times next month.
Awesome night for a fire. We took out Koltin for an evening, that was a lot of fun.
The girls look adorable...and I can almost smell that fire, awesome! Your Fall giveaway like special PP treasures...and what could come from the Pines but some of your great baklava? Mmmmm! Am I right?
So fun! I'm so jealous! We had a super hot week and now it's cold and rainy!!! BOO!!! STUPID RAIN! I knew I hated the stupid rain!

Am I too late?! Am I?! I love, love the Parsley pot!..and fall....and campfires!
What a nice welcoming gathering for fall. I am so tempted to go to Adams to get some more decorations ( we don't have a Parsley barn).
Happy Autumn to you and your family !
You sure are gearing up for the season! I'm sorry I'm late to the party, but sooo glad I was able to go back and catch up on your posts! Everything is looking lovely at the Whispering Pines and as always I love seeing your happy family!
Big hugs~
Great memories in the making....Love It!!!
What a great time with the family. Our boys still like to come and do campfires with us too. I can hardly wait for our family to grow and include children again. They add so much to a gathering!
Shoot, look what I miss when I show up late! Cute giveaway!! And an even cuter family...
