OUCH!

Our little Lexi had a bit of a mishap on the monkey bars at the park yesterday. She broke her arm just above the elbow...OUCHIE..and in the ER they said she was about the 5th kiddo this week to fall off playground equipment. This wasn't done at school and it made a day out with Dad a bit of a bummer. However, she was very brave. It will be tough at school for a little while but she'll do OK I'm sure. She looks so tired in this pic...it was time for bed!

She looks like she could weather any mishap with a lot of spunk. She must take after her grandma!

Awwww!!! Is this that little spunky girl?!?! I LOVE HER. She looks like a little bad-ass with that injury, though. So glad that she is okay!

Oh no! So sorry - but she'll be the belle of the ball at school for a while, so that's a perk!

Ouch indeed!! Poor little Lexie. It's amazing though how kids seem to take such things in stride. I'll bet she is pretty proud of her cast though. My two youngest seemed to be accident prone. They were always breaking something. They still aren't totally over that and they are in their 40's. Whoops, just realized that they are 49 (soon to be 50, my youngest, Rich) and Jayne just turned 52 in August! Wow, that's making me feel old.

Hope you get back to your old peppy self soon!

Oh those playgrounds are such dangerous places! My son broke his arm, in the same place, falling off the monkey bars. Didn't stop him for a second, and from the looks of Lexie, I doubt if she'll be stopped for long, either!

There needs to be a cast fairy to give youngun's something fun when they break something.
She's still cute as a button......actually, she's way cuter than any button I've ever seen.

Poor thing...I don't know why, but I always wanted a cast when I was a kid. Never got one, thankfully.

Aww poor sweetie. I hope she heals well and quickly.

Oh no! And it's her right arm. That will be so frustrating for her (unless she's left handed). My daughter fractured her wrist and had to wear a cast for a few weeks. Baths are the worst as they have to stay dry.

Hope it's not hurting too much and that it heals well. Daddy needs to give her a little spoiling, me thinks.
