Young Love

I thought I'd better blog before it's super old news! Time has been flying by as Jack and I work outdoors to catch up on yard stuff and other projects. I try to do as much as possible one handed.  Not fun. Even blogging is a pain to one finger my way around the keyboard.  This past weekend I did do something that was fun for a change. My dear Granddaughter, Driana, is getting married June 11th and her Mom  and sister threw her a bridal shower. It was fun and the food was delish and she and her fiance received a lot of cool gifts. Much cooler than some of the gifts we got 47yrs ago! I didn't see one avocado green appliance! Do you remember gifts you received when you got married?

Jonathon and Driana.  I can't believe she's 25 yrs old!  She was just a little 5yr. old when we moved to the Pines!

Lot's of fun gifts and even the games we played were fun!  Hello Happy, Summer's little dog.
It was a brunch and all the food was delicious.
I love you Dri! She's the sweetest kiddo ever and also a wonderful RN who works with hospice patients.  She has a loving heart.  All the happiness in the world to you!

Hi, YaYa!

Another very happy post from you, dear friend. You're on a roll now! Jonathon and Driana are a great looking couple, and I congratulate them on their upcoming wedding. Thanks for taking us along to the bridal shower. It's good to see my buddy Happy again. I'm sure your memories are intact of Driana as a five year old exploring The Pines for the first time twenty years ago. I haven't been following you that long, but Driana was still in her teens when I signed on to Whispering Pines and started getting to know your wonderful family. Over the years Driana's hard work, dedication and generous heart have earned her consistent praise on the pages of your blog. I admire her more than I can express for becoming an RN and working with hospice patients. Our country needs more like her. That's a great closing two-shot of you and grandkiddo Dri. I wish her and Jonathan the very best!

Looks like a very happy couple.

My step-daughter is getting married in June, postponed from last year due to the virus.

Congratulations to Jonathan and Driana. They make a lovely couple. A great picture of you and your granddaughter in that last photo. Looking forward to wedding photos.

I'm glad that you can work outdoors despite your injured wrist. Don't overdo it.
Hugs, Julia

Best wishes to your granddaughter! yes I remember some of the gifts I got and I still use a lot of them. I got this single pan and at the time I thought what the heck??? I use that more than anything just the right size lol. I could use another shower I need towels and sheets. and a new set of dishes would be great!

Oh that's nice, a bridal shower. I'm still using all the pans and pots I got at my wedding shower. They're in better shape than I am!😊
