April Fools

March slid out like a lamb and Mother Nature just couldn't resist a little joke this morning.

A little Spring snow!

Spring snow looks and feels a lot like Winter snow but I know our temps are warming up this weekend and already most has melted.

The red snow shovel hopefully has seen it's last use for a while.

I snapped a pick of Jack heading out to work this morning and I put a roast in the crock pot and watched the snow fall gently.  I'm recouping well as the surgery also went well. My pain level is low, just getting energy back is my goal.

A plate and 7 screws put this Humpty Dumpty back together again. I've said it a million times...the human body is amazing in it's ability to repair even as we treat it harshly. That was one of the reasons I loved my job in surgery...seeing it all put back. Have a safe and lovely Easter this weekend. Just watch that first step...it's a doosie!

Hi, YaYa!

Happy April Fools' Day to you, dear friend! Instinctively I approach Whispering Pines with caution these days, fearing word of another round of misfortune for you and your wonderful family. If an unexpected late season snowfall is the worst you have to report this time, I think we can all consider it a win. I hope the seesaw weather and fresh coating of snow didn't harm tender buds and sprouts around your property. Those pictures were refreshing for me to view because, slowly but Shirley, the heat and humidity are gaining a foothold in my neck of the woods. Today we had a new heat pump installed at our house so we'll hopefully have few worries through the uncomfortable months of spring, summer and fall.

Yessum, after all those years of working in the OR you recently had a chance to view medical care from the POV of a patient. I was on pins and needles wondering how your surgery went, and now I know they patched you up with a plate and 7 screws. It was a similar situation for Mrs. Shady in 2003 when she fell on her shift at the hospital, broke her ankle in several places, and needed extensive amounts of hardware inserted in it. Eighteen years have passed, and her ankle has been just fine all this time - not a single problem with it. I wish you the same success as you recover from your spill.

Thanks for the update, dear friend YaYa. I wish you and your family a safe and blessed Easter!

WOW hope you are feeling better now. Yep Mother Nature played an April Fool's joke on us too here in Michigan. Snowed much of the day. Janice

Ouch....a plate and 7 screws just sounds wrong LOL. I think I have an aversion to having foreign objects in my body...but hoping you adapt well to yours and it to you. Happy healing! Mmmm....a roast sounds wonderful. Being alone, it isn't something I cook anymore...but it (with mashed potatoes and gravy!) is one of my favorite comfort foods. Boo about the snow....we had a few inches I think on Saturday (? lose track of days) and it was nasty cold yesterday/last night (in the teens)....but I know what Mother Nature can serve up here even in April, so I am not complaining.... Heard warmer temps are on the schedule for us here too on the weekend! Yay! ~Robin~

A plate and 7 screws??? WOW That was an 'physically expensive' fall. Seems very intense, glad the surgery went well.
Spring snow, OUCH
Y'all take care and be safe.
Sherry & jack in a cool Florida also.
(Someone up there left the door open)

By now I bet all your newly fallen fluff is all gone. It sounds like everything is going well at the Pines and that you are now all patched up and rearing to go and get her done. You probably will set the alarm off on your next visit to the airport, lol.

I hope that this last fall of yours is the last bad thing to happen at The Pines and I hope Lady Luck is on your side. You need good things to happen to you for a change.

Happy Easter to you and Jack.
Hugs, Julia

Oh no, sorry about your accident but good thing you've got great surgeon where you live. They'd probably use tape and super glue in Georgia!😊 Haha, I'm joking, I think. Anyway, don't walk in that snow! Ohio might run out of screws!! Take care!!!xxxx
