Because my life has taken a few dips in the last year, I thought I would put the cherry on the sundae. Yesterday I did a dumb stunt and fell in my garage and broke my left wrist. I thought my right arm was broke too but thankfully it's just bruised and super sore. I have a nice lump and abrasion on my forehead that necessitated a CT scan. I was in serious doubt that they would find anything in there! But my head was fine so I'll see the orthopod on Thursday. I'm sure surgery will be involved. Time will tell. So for now I'm plucking away with one hand and I'll spare pics for now! Sheese...what a week!

YaYa, what a week, indeed, dear friend, and what a year you've had since March of 2020! Your retirement has been anything but restful and carefree. I can hardly believe your streak of misfortune has extended this far into 2021. I am dreadfully sorry to learn that you took a spill. You must be in great pain, and that makes me sad. At least your scan showed nothing wrong with your head. That's a major blessing. If you need surgery, so be it. You will bounce back from this and be good as new again, I know you will. I will keep you in my prayers. You'll be typing with one hand for a while but, if it's any consolation, the outcome could have been much worse. Please remember that I am thinking about you and wishing you a full and speedy recovery, dear friend Kathleen!
Oye, Girl, what are we going to do with you?! Seriously, sorry to read this, but glad it wasn't more serious injury wise at it certainly could have been. This past fall a friend of mine fell off a ladder in her garage resulting in a skull fracture, several scary days in ICU and a very lengthy recovery. In fact, she is still not fully recovered as she has lost her senses of taste and smell and has had a few personality changes along the way. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers with hopes for a speedy recovery. (Pssst...it's only Tuesday....Do you have a rubber room you can check yourself into for the rest of the week LOL?) ~Robin~
What rotten luck. I don't know if you're left-handed or right-handed but still, what rotten luck. I hope that you were not up a ladder. As I age, I get weary of falls as I don't bounce back like I used to. I was hoping that you would have a great start to spring. It just doesn't seem fair that you are having all these setbacks but knowing you, You'll probably bounce right back in no time.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Hugs, Julia
Oh no I am so sorry! you and your poor family have had such a hard time of it. Praying for a speedy recovery.

Oh no. So sorry to hear about your wrist. Hope you get better quickly. Janice
WOW I didn't see that one coming, and of course you didn't either. We sure hate to hear this, trust and pray you will heal fast with no surgery, but of course you would know that much better than we would.
Prayers and the best of thoughts as you face this. BUT we sure hate to hear of falls.....

in a nice florida day!
Not fun! So sorry to hear this. I broke my hand last spring (fell while out walking) so I know it is painful and inconvenient. You will be in my prayers for quick and thorough healing. :-)
Oh no! So sorry to hear of your fall but sounds like it could have been a lot worse. Sit back, relax and have a speedy recovery.

Yaya, I am soooo very sorry. You are my second friend who has fallen recently and hurt an arm. Hope you have better luck than my other friend. She has been waiting on insurance for almost 2 weeks telling her it's OK to have a scan. She may also need surgery. We "more mature" gals sure have to be more careful these days, but if you are like me you just surge ahead with what needs to be done and forget what age we are:) Hope you don't have to have surgery and have no pain. Sending love and hugs!
