Speechless...Sort Of

SATURDAY, APRIL 9th...SPRING..I THINK.
Sunrise
8in. of snow...about an inch an hour overnight.
Deck furniture still safe.
Chubbs finding a spot.

No Chubbs, not there.
Do I need to shovel the whole 6 acres?
Crabapple tree..look at my header to see what won't happen this year.
Lilacs...goodbye.
Magnolia tree...so long.
Feeder is closed for today.
Country road take me home.
To a place I belong.
Breakfast with a magazine...yep, I'm speechless.

It is beautiful, though! I follow another blog with a lady in Ohio; she had 4 inches overnight of snow. I told her Mother Nature got confused; spring in winter; winter in spring. Thankfully it is a Saturday; I just hope you aren't on call!

Stay safe!

Good grief! Might as well unpack the galoshes and enjoy the crunchy feeling. We've had unusually warm weather for this area, a couple of days in the 80's for us is a shocker. Even in summer we never get above 70's. I guess you have to wait to plant a summer garden, while we may rush in vain.

You shouldn't have cut the lawn in the snow, Mother Nature thought it was wonderful and she gave you more, I know... NOT FUNNY. I hope your trees will be strong and stubborn and bloom anyway.
BIG HUG.

Hi, dear YaYa!

You don't fool me. I know for a fact these pictures were taken in Siberia during the historic blizzard of January 1888! :) Is there such a thing as filing a class action lawsuit against the groundhog? :) I'm sure that white stuff will soon be melting in the warm spring sun. I predict your backyard pool will be filled with grandkiddos next week at this time!

Enjoy your weekend, dear friend YaYa!

Nooooo. Poor you and poor Chubbs. Looks like he is like Abby. I could shovel 90% of the yard but that's not where she wants to go :(. We are supposed to get some on Sunday. It keep hoping it's wrong

Good gracious! Winter just won't give up at your Pines. The snow is amazing, but I'm sorry for your trees.

Wow, such beauty! Bet it's all gone by now...

Can you believe it's all gone already? Just enough to ruin the flowers. Wonder what will happen to the fruit trees?

This winter is lasting a really long time here too. Not the snow but the cold. We'll both celebrate true spring's arrival. It sure does look pretty though. And I suspect your flowering trees have survived worse. They'll still bloom.

Yep-- we had one too. One of those last minute snows that make you cringe because you are so desperate for Spring!! Thankfully it didn't seem to kill the blooms on our trees. I hope yours will still be able to flower. It's warm and sunny now-- I hope it's that way for you too. I'm so ready...
