People seem to love signs. Have you ever heard anyone say: "Oh, it's a sign!" when something happens to them? Signs of the times....signs for road..."signs, signs, everywhere there's signs..." (lyrics for a song even!) I looked around my humble abode and saw a few signs...
Gotta have the Grandma/YaYa rules!
Everyone should do this!
Just for me!
Like I'd forget to do this! Ha! Plus I have a place to put anything I want as my personal sign language.
Letters...hmmmm, what do they mean?
Favorite scripture put on a plaque.
You never know when a bunch of bears could invade...
The true meaning of strength!
This might be hard to read...it says: "With God all things are possible"..so true.
This is on the bottom of one of my favorite canvas paintings...I sure need this reminder many days. So what's all this sign stuff anyway? Well, today is National Literacy Day...So I encourage you to read signs, or better yet, a good book. Take the time to block out the world with the written word.
Or better yet....read a good blog today!

I believe in signs as warnings. I also have many around my house.

Hi, dear YaYa! I love your signage. Soon there will be signs of autumn outside your window (like a foot of snow) and the inside of your house will reveal signs of Halloween approaching.

Jack & Kathleen, correct?
I'll bet your grandkiddos make you render all of the services listed on your Babysitting by Grandma list!
Happy Tuesday, dear friend YaYa!
(Don't forget - you promised me some Eddy! :)
Love your signs. Especially the chocolate one. Wish I had that kind of strength. :)
Cute post I think we all have signs scattered around the house mine is a good laugh is sunshine in a house.
Cathy
Love those signs. I have one in my kitchen and surprise surprise, it's about wine and coffee. Lol
Hmmmm....I just read a good blog! This National Literacy Day thing....I'm all over it. Thanks for sharing your signs!
Enjoyed all your signs :) We ate at a restaurant this past weekend that had signs all over the place. Cute to read while we were waiting for our food, but of course I can't remember any of them to share with you :)
betty
Groovy. I have signs as well. One of mine says Peace, Love, Coffee. It's one of my favorites, especially in the morning:)
My house is full of signs, too. In fact, my kids always tease me about it.
=)
I like all your signs, especially the ones with Scripture! I bet you get lots of kisses around your house, 'cause I've seen the pics of your food. Strength is my middle name then. It's the brownies or the chocolate cake that I can't just eat one. We have signs in our house, too.
Reading signs, you have reminded me...when I was a very small child, I wanted to read so much, that I would pretend to read the road signs that we passed. And I mean EVERY ONE. I just tried to THINK of what they said...Once, my Dad laughed so hard that he had to pull over! HA!! Making 'em laugh before I could even read!
:-)
Lovely signs that you have, thanks for sharing them! (I sometimes sweep with a broom at work and tell my co workers that I am using my transportation!)
I have lots of graphics around, love 'em but they don't have whole words...I must be missing out on something!
I have a lot of those at my house too. My high school yearbook was based off that song. They took pics of state route signs, 93, 94, 95, and 96.
Love the signs AND that song!
My favorite sign in my house is one that is strategically placed in the kitchen, "Many people have eaten in this kitchen and gone on to live perfectly normal lives".
What a fun post! I have words all over my house as well. My favorite, a magnet on my fridge: You are your words.
