The Sky's The Limit

The sky over the Pines can convey a different vibe or mood on any given day...or night.  I was sitting in the living room tonight when I noticed the weird color outside...very yellow and reminiscent of tornado weather.  I grabbed my camera and headed for the hills...or the field across the street.  Once outside I snapped a few sky shots that told the story of the yellow hue.
I headed down the lane to see across the field.
Ominous!
Glorious!
A totally different hue as I headed inside.  The other day I snapped a few happier looking skies.
Same view....different day.
Same day...different view!  I guess even the sky has it's moods....and on a Monday I think we all can relate to different moods! I'll end with a different perspective.
This gal didn't care what was happening....she, or maybe he, was in a good mood on a lovely flower! That's because when it comes to moods...the sky's the limit around here!

Hi, dear YaYa! How well I remember those "sick" looking golden orange twilight skies, a familiar sight when I lived in Pennsylvania. Those skyscapes certainly do convey the impression that violent weather is about to strike. It seems safe to assume that it didn't happen in your vicinity. That butterfly is beautiful. It reminds me of the many insect pictures my dad used to take. He was so meticulous that he measured the distance between the lens and the bug and made an endless series of adjustments. Half the time the insect got tired of waiting and moved on before Dad even snapped the picture.

If you see my good buddy Eddy D. Boxer, tell him I think about him often. Enjoy the rest of your week, my wonderful friend!

Great pictures, YaYa. And Shady Del Knight - I well remember carrying a wooden ruler around with me to measure the distance from a flower or an insect to the lens. It's a bit easier nowadays but I still find some impatient insects move on!

Beautiful pictures Yaya! I have the hardest time capturing beautiful sunsets....they never look the same on my camera as they do in person....oh well! I'll keep trying!
Have a great week!

Those pics are simply gorgeous. I love taking pics like that of the skies as they change. Some evenings the sunsets are so amazing, I will be in and out of my chair inside and out on the deck taking pictures. I come in, settle down, and see more amazing skies than before. Drives my husband nuts! The butterfly on the flower is perfect!

Yaya you really are good at capturing the sky's many shades of colors or moods. These yellow ones would have me clearing a closet out to hide in instead of snapping pics. Haha
What a coward I am these days!
