I'm singing that song about packed bags and leaving on a jet plane. Be thankful you can't hear me...trust me on this. We're heading out to Oregon to see our son Craig and his wonderful family. I know you're not suppose to post junk about leaving your home, but we have a house sitter who's packing heat....trust me on this.
I'm posting this shot from our last flight to get myself ready to board. Flying isn't my fave, but seeing my kiddos is, so I'm grabbing a good book and pretending that we're driving really, really fast. Which is how I drive anyway so it's not a big stretch. After the crummy weekend and crazy work days I've had I'm in need of a vacation. So I'll be off line for a bit..maybe. I just might have to check in if time allows. As the song goes: "I hate to wake you up to say good-bye"..so I won't since we're leaving for the airport at 0400hrs....maybe I'll fall asleep and wake up in Portland...one can only hope!

Have a nice trip out and back, dear friend YaYa. As you pointed out, the timing is good because you need a rest. You can also benefit from a change of scene after experiencing the emotional trauma caused by the death of your beloved kitty. The very first thing Mrs. Shady and I did following Toto's death was to take a weekend road trip to Naples. I hope you find all of your Oregonian family members in good health and in excellent spirits. I hope you have a wonderful time and return home to Ohio relaxed and refreshed. I'll be thinking about you, dear friend YaYa. God bless!
Have a wonderful time!!! The flying will be worth it since at the end of the flight there, you'll get to see your son and his family!

Have fun on the left coast Yaya. Jilda and I spent time in Seattle and we loved it.
Enjoy your vacation and hug those grandkidos of your. Wishing you a great flight. I hate flying too and I have to remind myself that it can't be that bad since pilots and flight attendant do this for a living. I fly to Ottawa in mid September for a week.
Not to worry about Blogger, I'm sure we will find you when you return.
Hugs,
JB
That's just how I feel....don't like flying, but I love seeing my daughter, so I risk life and limb to get there. HaHa! And, I always come home with a cold. I hope you have a great flight and have lots of fun out there with your son.
Have a good time, Yaya!! ♥
Have a wonderful time!
I don't like flying either, but, as you said, going to see your family is SO WORTH IT! Enjoy and safe travels. Take lots of pics.
