I was tired of looking at the color purple from the last post...those lovely hamhocks called legs! I'm posting the blue, blue skies and if I could I'm sure I would capture the blue, blue lips of anyone hanging out in this weather! It's dango cold out there! Schools were closed today and staying indoors is a good idea. Of course today would be the day I had my post-op visit and got my staples out. At 7:30am no less! Anyway, everything is going fine...he said I was a "rock star"...Ha! I feel more like just a "rock". But in 2 weeks I can drive and then I'll feel truly on the road to being me. Anyway, if you live where it's warm...enjoy! If you live where it's -27 like it was here today (wind chill)...you can fill in your own words!
Blue skies... and no matter what the temps are, sun is always welcome!
Squeeze in between those giant pines and come visit. I'm appearing daily!

From purple to blue, I 'm hoping that you'll soon be in the pink...
Being able to drive will be such a nice freedom for you. I'm glad the stitches or staples are out.
I wish you speedy recovery.
It's blue here too but it's nice to know that over a week is gone from January and the days are slowly getting longer.
Hugs,
JB
I always knew you are a rock star, YaYa, and I'm very happy to receive this good news that you got your staples removed and that your post-op recovery is going smoothly.
Your wind chill index is 27 BELOW? Yikes! Folks here in Florida scream bloody murder when the wind chill reaches 70 degrees ABOVE! It's a safe bet that the Abominable Snowman who inhabits your Creepy Woods is wearing his thermal pajamas to bed these nights.
Please keep your spirits up as you continue through the healing process day by day. I'm thinking about you and praying for you, dear friend YaYa!
It must be a relief to have those staples out. I always could tell that you are very strong. So "Rock Star" is quite appropriate.
Temp here is 12 degrees F. I am not going to complain because the Sun is out and it looks nice from inside the Window.
Wishing you lots of Sunshine and a smooth recovery.
PS Don't let that TLC go to waste !
Congratulations Rock Star. School was closed?? Its -32 here today and nothing was closed :(
Good news to hear that you can drive in 2 weeks! I bet you are excited to gain a bit more freedom then! Such pretty blue skies! Brr with the cold though! Do stay warm as much as you can!
betty
Much prettier, but definitely brrrrr... Glad the doctor is pleased with your progress. :)
I like your color scheme you have going!
Your snow and blue skies are beautiful.....Rock Star!
So you are just rocking away. I know that is a tough surgery esp. when you do both at the same time. Don't hurry the recovery along. As you already know, be careful on the ice. Scares me as I have fallen too many times. Take care and heal well.
There's something about wheels that sets you free.
Having that in reach will make your body heal faster.
-27 Below....I have no frame of reference.

Glad you are recovering well, Rock Star! Now, don't overdo it; let everyone who offers keep helping out...
It's all about disposition, isn't it?
So glad you are doing good, maybe will will stop by between those cones to see you.
Oh, how I would love to surprise you and visit the Pines, toting one of my famous 'cure-inducing' cheesecakes! :-)) But, alas, our temps were -25 degrees wind chill factor overnight too last night. This is NOT traveling weather!! LOL Anyway...I'm glad your recovery is going so well!! Next stop...watch out pedestrians on the sidewalk!! LOL
We've had a cold spell here, too, but nothing close to yours. Still, it actually snowed in Southern California where my son lives.
Crazy stuff.
=)
Yup, temperature-wise, I'm filling in my own words.. and they're censor-worthy.
Glad the staples are out. Rock on, YaYa!
yea for progress one step at a time right? Glad you are in good routine and improving every day//big hugs
Beautiful photos! Since I live in the deep south we seldom see any snow...I can only wish:) Of course, I don't think I'd like sub-zero temps. I've been away from blogging for awhile and trying to get back to writing and visiting. Come see me sometimes:)

I do and I don't miss that part of the
Midwest. All that white and blue can be so sparkly and beautiful but when we get days with sunshine and mid 50's in January here it doesn't make me too sad. :>
