Say What?

My previous post was a shout of joy because it's finally Spring.  In the post I mentioned the phrase: "Spring snow"...my blog buddy over at Sweet Tea had never heard that phrase. Probably because they have Spring with actual warm temps and flowers and such! Well, this was the scene from a work window yesterday morning:
The snow came fast and furious..white outs at times.  Then the typical Ohio weather came into play by the afternoon...it looked like this going home at 3:30pm:

Today when I picked up the newspaper this was the headline:
Yes, Spring snow is a real term...a real pain...a real mess... I hope the weekend isn't!

We woke up to a fresh 6 inches of the white $#!T. Ad that to the already-existing 3 feet of the white $#!T, and spring becomes a foreign word around here. But spring snow.. that I understand!

Spring Snow ~ GO just go.
Your so right their should be no sentence that has to say "Spring snow " and their definitely should be no headlines that say "spring snow causes accidents"
Oh my will it ever end ~ sorry I seem to be ranting.lol
I hope the remainder of your weekend is Springy and snowless my friend :)

Hi, YaYa! One would think those before and after pictures were taken months apart. Living in Florida since 1984, I had forgotten about the phenomenon of spring snow and the rapid melt that usually follows.

Hang in there, dear friend YaYa. Little by little spring is gaining a foothold and soon you'll all be soaking in the pool to escape the heat.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, dear friend!

Awww...but your blog background is so springy! Spring is bound to come and stay at some point. I'm glad the snow melted quick!

Yeah, that what we are having here in New Brunswick too. Spring snow. At least you have bare ground when the sSpring snow melts, we still have mountains of snow after this last storm melts.

No use complaining... I think that we have complained so much this winter that we attract that kind of bad weather.

Hugs,
JB

Kind of wish I didn't know what a spring snow was -- but I do! A lot of people here in Michigan are hoping for the 3 more inches we need to break the record.... I'm ok of we don't!!

Those are like Alabama snows. You can snow ski in the morning and swim in the afternoon.

Aw, I'm so sorry...but the term is rather endearing don't you think? Trying to make the best of it...it'll make a little more of that "spring mud" maybe.

One more reason I'm glad I live in this part of the country! When I lived in Northern Idaho, it was not unheard of to have snow on the Fourth of July. The good thing is that now spring can really happen for you. :-)

Oh my ! accidents from snow in Spring? Be careful out there.

Our temps have gone down to the thirties as well. Probably we will get some flurries or even wet snow yuck:(

Great pics...better than the selfies we took, lol! Tim said it was nearly 50 today in Columbus. Maybe there's hope for us.....

OH my what a mess. Like most Southerner's never heard the expression Spring Snow and so glad I have not ever had to deal with it either.
Can't imagine how you guys can put up with snow for as long as you do.
I am already mowing again and spent six hours both Thursday and Friday on the tractor. I said if it ever gets warm here again I would never complain about mowing ever. haha
Sending you warm hugs and wishes for warmer weather
Love
Maggie

We had a view of the ground yesterday and woke up to "spring snow" of three inches today. But the sun is out and we might be seeing the mud again soon! yay!

I think your Ohio weather is a bit bi-polar.

Oh dear! I would never make it driving in a state where it snowed. No bona fide Californian could!
We slip and slide and spin in just a light spring rain..loads of warnings ..but we still have mulitudes of fender benders!
