Blog Book

Every year about this time I eagerly await the arrival of my blog book.  Today it came! I always blog about my blog books.  Probably because it's January and there's not much to blog about anyway!  I take all my blog posts starting January 1st and ending with December 31st and put them into book form.  I used "Blog2Print.com" but the company "sharebook" puts them together.  There's different sites that will help you do this.  Usually it's pretty easy to navigate but for some reason I had a hard time getting the posts in the right order. I had to email the company 3 times to have them fix the problems.  I wasn't a happy camper.  I let them know.  I never heard back from them about my displeasure.  However, I did get the book so I guess I'm happy now...but I'm not sure I'll use this company  next year.  Anyway, here's the finished product.
I do a different color each year.  I usually get a soft cover but I went all out this time and got a hard cover. Snazzy!
You get chapters and everything!

A whole year of my life all neat and tidy and oh so interesting...Ok, neat and tidy anyway!  I was noticing that I had the exact same amount of posts in 2013 that I had in 2012.  I wonder if I posted about the same things each year....hmmm, I guess I'll have to check.  Yep, many posts were similar.  Oh well, it's good to see some things never change!  But my book made me smile and then I remembered something else that made me smile....this little guy:
Saturday Jack and I went to watch Cameron play basketball.  This is his first year and let me tell you, it is so hilarious to watch 5&6yr olds learning the game.  He was having a great time out there and made a ton of baskets! He may be little, but he's feisty and has a good eye for the hoop!  Here's his smile after the game.  Those glasses and that cowlick on the front of his hair always makes me want to squish him!

He is smooch material for sure. That is what I do to my grandbaby when I see her I have to smooch her. Great idea to do maybe someday I will do that.

I love your book. I did half a year this time and plan to submit my July through December soon.
I wasn't pleased this time either, especially since I can't control the text to the photos. Would like to know if yours worked.
Anyway, I'm sure your blog book is beautiful because you have a beautiful family, interesting posts and great photos!! Love it.

I got one book made by Blog2print, and was disappointed. The pictures were too small and the posts ran into each other. Of course, I blame my husband for it, since I refused to spend time editing and fussing with the format. You, on the other hand, must have done just that and stuck with it until you got a product you enjoyed. Congratulations.

Hooray for Cameron! I started to get interested in basketball at his age, watching games on TV and listening to local high school games on the radio. Pretty soon I was basketball obsessed. I hung a bottomless peach basket on the basement wall and spent hours tossing a ball into it. When I reached age 10, my dad erected a regulation goal for me on the outdoor patio. I hope Cameron sticks with it. It's my favorite sport.

Having your blog printed in book form is a wonderful idea, YaYa. That way, if Blogger crashes, you still have all your memories intact. Those yearbooks are the diaries of your life, filled with priceless pictures of you, Jack, your mother, Eddy and your growing family. Cherish and treasure those books, dear friend.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

Congratulations on yet another Blog book. It looks beautiful. That little man is so adorable. It's such a treasure for your family.

I've been wanting to do that too and I'm not sure that my blog is printer friendly. Do they leave the comments out or do they print everything that's on the blog.? How much do they charge per page?

I'll be looking into this when I get the time. I'm so timid when it comes to buy something from a company I don't know.

Hugs,
JB

He is a real cutie. Every year I read about your blog book and think it's such a great idea. I should do it (but I never do). Maybe next year ;)

I do the exact same thing each yr with my blog....one for each of my children as a document of everything we did each yr. They love it!
I always use blog2print. Have never had a problem in past but haven't sent mine off yet for 13.
Hope they have worked out kinks....
Love your cover!!

Woo hoo! Nice looking book. I have tried to figure out a blog book but I got frustrated because everything squished together and my captions weren't with my pictures. I opted to go with Shutterfly to create books. I don't have all of my blog text in there though, and I did spend a lot of extra time formatting things. I wish there was a simple perfect answer.

Cameron is such a cutie. I was just working on another, much older, photobook (my pre-baby life) last night and had some pictures of Jack's girls along with Steph when she was pregnant with Cameron. My how they have all changed!

You're quick with your book...I just ordered mine yesterday. I use "Cutest Blog on the Block" and they have 10% off right now. Mine will be pretty cheap and skinny compared to yours...lol!
The pic of Cameron is so cute. He looks like a little professor!!

The blog books are treasures. I make mine in hardcover, too. I gave one to my mom (of her own blog) for Christmas, and she loved it.

He is definitely a cutie pie! I get my blog books from the same site. Sandy actually gets them for me for my birthday. Hopefully I won't have any problems with it this year!
