A Walk In The Dark

Yep, a walk in the dark...not the park.  Around 5pm the snow started falling and temps were rising.  Around 10pm Jack said, "Hey, it's really coming down out there"..my solution? "Want to take a walk?"  So we bundled up, grabbed the dog and the camera..not necessarily in that order, and headed out.  It was light out because of the reflection of the white snow.  The snow was falling in big juicy flakes.
No wind and the temps were around 25de...perfect!
Hmm...what is that white ghost-like image? Paranormal? Jack would say: "That would be my first guess."  Of course he says it with sarcasm and shake of the head!
How do you like Eddy's creepy camera eyes? He was in heaven.  Being cooped up all week because of the super freeze, he was ready for a nice run. We even walked into the Creepy Woods..something I would never do by myself at night! But I had my protector:
Jack looks like he spots something weird or scary....
Nope, just me..OK, maybe just a bit weird and scary!
Nothing like a "selfie" to end the evening!  It felt great to get out and play and enjoy the snow.  Sometimes it's easy to complain about the weather instead of embracing it.

that was a great way to end the evening. Eddy looks great and so do ya'll. But you have to be ready for warm weather, aren't you?

You're doggone right, dear YaYa! A winter night can be a great time to take a walk if the wind is calm and the temperatures reasonable. Those big, wet snowflakes falling all around bring out the kid in you, don't they. No school tomorrow - YAY!

The picture of that weird swirling white stuff coming to get you does look a bit spooky, though. Did you hear the howl of the man-ape off in the distance? It's a good thing you had Jack and Eddy along. When I look at that closeup of Eddy's mug and those eerie green eyes, however, I'm thinking that might have been Eddy's evil twin trying to lure you into the Creepy Woods!

It does my heart good to see you and Jack out there having fun together on a snowy night. Remember what Shady always says: You're never too old to act like a kid.

Have a terrific day and a happy weekend, dear friend YaYa!

After being held hostage by the deep freeze I'm sure it was heavenly to go for a nice little walk in the snow. Not sure I would venture into the creepy woods in the dark though (even with Jack!)
Love the selfie ;)

Aww that's so fun and spontaneous! I'm glad it's not so frigid there anymore. I love that paranormal picture. It's really cool!

Aww, you guys make a nice couple. Nothing like a romantic walk in the fresh fallen snow with your soul mater. I'm glad that your weather has warmed up. I'm waiting for ours to warm up.

We were the coldest place on the map this morning at -23 Celsius or -9.4 F. Even my sense of humor is frozen this morning.

Wishing you a happy safe weekend.
Hugs,
JB

You are a cute pair. And I remember from a blizzard when Dave and I were in school at U of Utah how romantic a still, snowy night can be…

Great photos. Love the selfie. You know there have been some new sightings of Big Foot. Maybe that one picture is of the snow he kicked up running from you. I bet Jack heard something, that's why he is looking that way. Be careful out there.

Nothing boosts your energy and optimism like a walk in the snow! Fun too. Who enjoyed it most? You, hubby, or the dog?????

What a nice walk. I love the bit of swirl in that ghostly image and the selfie made me smile. You look like such a young puppy!

My goodness, you look like a model, so pretty!
I just read all your comments, no one else said this, but I love how the snowflake made a perfect heart shape beside you...in the first photo, it is on the left, and in the second photo it is to the right (not as clear, but you can see it!) If I were you, I would put one of those photos on the side of your blog, just saying!
(Oh, and M. Night Shymalan will have a TV show called "Wayward Pines"...maybe he wanted it to be "Whispering PInes" but it was already taken? HA!)

Wonderful post and pic's honey.
Wow getting out on a night like that was a very brave thing to do but I would imagine having both your protectors with you made it prefect.
What a great selfie. I can't take a good one. You guys make such a darling couple. Your love just shines in this picture.
Thank you for the sweet comment about Christi's engagement. I guess it shows how over the moon happy I am for her.
Stay warm
Love ya
