Bashful and Frick and Frack

Now for something a bit creepy..Ok, it's not really creepy but it does give credence to the fact that I'm very unobservant. Jack asked me if I had looked at this pic from my previous post on "foliage" here at the Pines...of course I looked at it, I took the pic! Well then, he says, look again...enlarge the photo..what do you see? I laughed when I saw what he was talking about..how did I miss this? See if you can see what we see...

Sunday when I came home from Church I found these two characters romping in the backyard. Then today when I came home from work they were there again having playtime in the back and front yard. What is this..wild kingdom? Well, they are cute but I bet their Mom wasn't too happy about them leaving where ever she is to come visit us. I apologize for the blurry video. I was trying to get the shots from behind windows and windows with screens!

They're just too cute, aren't they! As for the first one - I saw it cuz I almost always enlarge photos, but wasn't sure what it was. Ground hog?

Those deer are so cute, but they sure do like to eat the flowers. My friend used to have deer all the time, and she could never keep any plants at all.

=)

Oh just gorgeous! Believe it or not I occasionally have one pass through here - escapees from a deer farm a few kilometres away - they scare the kangaroos half to death!

Oh wow! How cool!! Makes me miss the country so much! Not that we had creatures visit like that! Well once we had a herd of donkeys but that was from the donkey farm across the road so it doesn't count.
Nothing like that!

Oh what a treat to look out and see that! When the neighborhood settles down here at about 10:30 am, there's a little rabbit that comes out from his house and hops around grazing. Everyone (mostly) has gone to work and I guess the cats are all sleeping (after running around on our roofs all night...) so he's pretty at ease. I have a perfect view from my "office" window. But that's pretty boring compared to deer!

I love deer, but I am so SICK of seeing them on my campus. They always run in front of cars and make me late for class because they will.not.move out of the street. Ugghghhhggh.
They are cute, though. :) It's hard to get angry at them.

They are so cute! I've gotten to watch fawns frolic before.

Is that a groundhog in the first picture?

It's like you're living Wild Kingdom!

Frolicking fawn...how pretty! The ground hog was kinda cute too! Your videos were fun...especial your whispering...ha! We've seen deer recently too but none as cute as yours. Reminds me of the way we used to exercise at the Y!

They love your grass! They are small for playing there all alone without their mom, but maybe she is right out of sight.

Wow they really come up so close to your home. It's awesome that you were able to tape them and share it with us.
My camera is never where I need it.
lol
No I probably wouldn't have noticed your little visitor unless you pointed it out. Of course most of the time I don't have my glasses on.
Like now Christi is giving her Toby a haircut and that would be some good shots. haha
Have a great week
Love

I think I'd much prefer the ground hog and fawns to alley cats that we get here.

We have a crew that comes into our back yard each evening.
We're used to them but whenever we have company, they oooo and ahhhh.
Of course, they (the deer, not the company) promptly ate our peas, and other stuff out of the garden.
Fortunately, we have a garden inside our fence and one outside. They haven't come inside the fence yet.
I love watching them.

I thought it was some type of garden statuary...but wasn't able to make it out clearly! I'd never have guessed it was a fawn. Aren't they just too sweet! And aren't you lucky to have them visiting for playtime! What a wonderful garden you have :)
